Great job snorkeling into a very complex topic. It’s so hard to nail down exactly what CM is and I feel like I understand it much better now. I hope Bible believing Christians are able to use this information to help recognize CM thinking!

Thanks for this video! Also really hope this channel blows up soon the quality is beyond most content creators. I wondered about mysticism but never looked too deep into it and never realized people threw in all that new age nonsense into it. From my initial 5 minute research months ago I had assumed it was more rooted in what the Old Testament prophets like Isaiah, or Zachariah who had experienced having a "mystical" experience in their visions. Now I think you hit a very valid point when it comes to the gifts being real but also intention having a lot to do with it where as many people kind of make it a reason to be a center of attention, but i digress. The bible is the authority, and if any mystic experience contradicts the bible it definitely not a angel of God but a demon. I also agree that there's nothing wrong with simply reading the word to hear from God and it should be what you focus on anyways, and i do think that spreading the gospel should be #1 priority over all. I think everything we need as Christians is in the bible. I do also believe we can have Visons and supernatural encounters with God with who he wills as like for example the man who ascended to the 3rd heaven or any of the cool bible stuff that happens. I will say however I've heard from God myself but not in a meditative trance or anything weird, He just told me to invite my sister to church that day and as i obeyed she ended up returning to the faith and gave up her " santa muerte " worship. ( we had been on bed terms for months because of this and i had been praying for her but I ultimately told God if He saved me I know he's going to save her) That being said, that's just hearing from the Holy Spirit and nothing like what these other guys are claiming in your videos. I think there's nothing wrong with wanting a deeper relationship with God, but how you do it is the slippery slope. When you abandon the Gospel for New Age its a issue, why go into tarot or trancelike states when you can pray, fast, and read the word? Like I said i really enjoyed the video covering these topics, and how some of these people lost the plot. That being said can you have a deeper experience with God and experience him in a supernatural way, yes the bible tells us of the people who have. Are these "Christian mystics" having those encounters with The Living God? I have reasons to think other wise.
