I JUST heard this today, December 4, 2022, on a whim searching for "powerful renditions of 'Oh Holy Night'". I was picked up and levitated across my house by something straight out of Raiders of the Lost Ark -- that's how powerful David Phelps' voice is. I wasn't moved, I was destroyed, melted into a puddle of mushy tears, and transported THROUGH THE VEIL

yes, I also feel sorry for people who can't feel this treasure of emotion and faith David Phelps put into that song. The late Anthony Berger was the pianist which was also so breathtaking. Thank you for reviewing his music. That was 20 or so years ago and David has a wide expanse of music on You Tube. I recommend "The End of the Beginning" which he wrote. It went straight to my heart.

David Phelps has been singing for a long time and every song he touches, he takes it to a whole new level. Check out more of his songs on RU-vid. He also does a few cross over into the pop world. - You'll never Walk Alone - Unchained Melody - I want to know what love is (Foreigner cover) - I have nothing (Whitney Houston cover) - The Lord's Prayer He is rated as hitting the highest notes ever for a male artist and he incorporates his high note signature in just about every song he does. Very dynamic

The power of the lyrics in this song... combined with the powerful meaning and vocals of ANY singer can bring one to their knees. Mr. Phelps definitely DELIVERED in astounding fashion few can achieve or deny. This song has been one of my favorites since I was a child... and being raised Catholic, it hits hard to bring tears to the soul. Well done, Mr. Phelps... well done.

You just watched and listened to David praising GOD with his music with help from the Holy Spirit. He believes what he sings. Notice at the end when all are clapping, David is having a little trouble responding, I believe because he is still in worship attitude. Beyond his obvious gifts, it is his true eorship of GOD that connects with us.

Thanks for reacting to this amazing performance by my favorite musical artist. You listen to music like I do, completely immersed in the experience, and I loved watching you. I’m a classical vocalist, and David Phelps is pretty much the most amazing tenor I have every heard. He trained as an opera singer, but chose to stick to his gospel roots. He has a huge catalog of gospel music both as a solo and ensemble artist, but he has also done wonderful forays into classical music and pop. Besides being a consummate singer, he is an amazing lyricist, composer and arranger. His latest album, called Game Changer features original music written by him. Check out one of the new songs, called Hello Beautiful. Very different than this, which will give you an idea of his incredible flexibility as a vocalist and performer. The song is absolutely stunning and emotionally shattering at the same time. He has so much music out there, but so far is only well known in certain circles. He recently did a cover of Whitney’s I Have Nothing, that totally blew my mind. I’d love to see you do more reactions to his music. ✌🏼 and ❤️
