Just been watching and listening to Viva la Quinta Brigada , and it has me crying, such a powerful song. My uncle Norman was killed in the International Brigade's very last action on the Ebro in September 1938 , along with 22 other comrades . They had already been ordered to leave Spain, but fought a last action before leaving. I never Knew my uncle as I was born 15 years later .
I know how to play a campfire song with my guitar and me lungs. But then comes Mr. Moore and makes me cry again. What a treasure you guys up there have.

I was in school after dat, in St Conleth’s, I was never taught about him, but yet aswell, I wasn't taught about you till 5th class, and when ye came in and sang a couple of songs that cemented in my mind trad music.
I just love and know the Irish voice and spirit you kindly share. My grandfather entered the US on the 4th of July in 1926. It didn’t seem so long ago when I was a child, born in 1971, but much of my father’s brothers joy for music has passed with them. Thankfully, I have some hardy Irish friends who also enjoy your song and voice. His Cork accent scared the hell out of a young Bostonian, but his kindness and pure wanderlust for the world inspired me greatly. Salud, amor, y dinero y tiempo para disfrutarlo. My favorito Spanish brindis (look it up).
I moved back to Spain in July 2020. Things may get dark again. I hope not. My friend Paqui sang in the choir the day they finally gave a decent burial to the Paterna republicans murdered by fascists and buried in a corner of the Paterna cemetary. God bless you Christy. You're a candle in the dark.

Fantastic! Really enjoying these shows all the way from Manchester England. I was wondering if you could sing North and South of the River it’s the first song that made me pick up the guitar my brother had bought me a year earlier. I play this song often and would like to know how it came about as I believe you wrote it with the Bono and the Edge. Thanks Christy for all your music the way you interpret music is truly inspirational.

I've shared a lot of my life with u from a distance Christy fom the early days I the Maggot Bin to the Sportsmans to Lisdoon n later days to Harry Crosby's little venues. It's been a hell of a ride. I'm wondering after all that butterin up will you play an aul song for me that's always been a stand out from the Maggot Bin and still has a resonance today.Go Move Shift. How ya christy been watching the sessions for the last few weeks and am loving them. Went to ur gig in the marquee about 8/9 years ago I was only 8 at the time and was brought up on ur music and have loved it ever since. 1 request could ya play joxer goes to Stuttgart or the weekend in Amsterdam great tunes
