Best keying tutorial! Thanks! I got weary of watching “Tutorials” from confused beginners. (Like me!) I have been around long enough that I edited my first documentary on a real moviola! I also worked at Film Effects of Hollywood for a while in 1974. They already knew that their days were numbered due to computers…

Best Keying tutorial out there, if you want to save time on 15:50, spill suppression is easily done with a Matte Control - Spill, usually setting it on 1.0 and well done, does the trick flawlessly.

always come back to this. I would love to see a quick comparison of 17's delta keyer spill suppression. found a few tuts but nothing too in depth. if anyone is reading this and knows of one link it here. delta keyer is so powerful, I could probably watch an hour long tut on it. thanks as always.

also another quick question. would it be technically the same if I cache the clean plate it will still technically work correct? or is it the calculations coming from the delta keyer input the clean plate. technically I could cache the whole tree if im down to just doing color corrections right? thanks man

need like a newer version of this tutorial, trying to follow it on new updates of Fusion all the nodes and everything look different, I follow your routine and things do not happen haha

When you are connecting the nodes a little window pops up to select certain options. This is not showing up when I follow along. Is there a key you are pressing when doing this? Am I missing something?

You need to drag out the output with the right mouse button instead of the left one

However, there is one thing that does not work when I do it: I cannot combine the edge-matte and the core-matte (@ 9:00) by using the „solid matte input“ oft he Delta. I have tried to follow all your steps carefully and I have tried on different computers (Win10) with the studio version as well ..., these 2 mattes do not combine. Is there a preset I have missed or some setting I have to check? (when view mode "matte" is selected, like in your video it does not combine; with "final result" I can achieve some results, but cannot see them clearly) Any help would be highly appreciated!

This dosent look like DaVinci Resolve I think your using standalone Fusion its a different piece of software

Did he claim it was Resolve? Btw, the features are almost identical. You can just check if the same nodes exist in Resolve. If they do, you can follow the tutorial. Only change is how you add the media.
