I watched several of these videos and found yours to be the best step by step how to of them all. I was confident making the changes in the exact order you did. I have a 2019 Pacifica Limited and it went smoothly and without any issues. My original aux battery failed after 3 years and it was covered under warranty. The second one only lasted 1 and a half years. The dealer would not replace since the first one was already replaced under warranty. And they wanted $360 to replace it. I saved a lot of money doing it myself. Thanks.
Changed battery as shown in the video. Turned on engine and the dashboard light was out. Went for a drive and stop/start system was not available as per dashboard screen. Went home and pressed the start/stop button for 10 seconds to reset it. This was recommended in another You Tube video. Still didn't work. Next day pressed the button again for 20 seconds, still showed not available. The next morning started the van and it showed the start/stop as available. As in it was now working. Went for a drive and it worked like it is supposed to. FYI: Battery was priced at $233.00 at the dealership and they wouldn't put a warranty on it unless they installed it. Purchased the battery at Auto Zone for $150.00 with a three year warranty. Advance auto parts and O'reillys auto parts warranty is only for one year and about the same price.. With the short failure rate for this battery I think AutoZone is the best deal. I am not affiliated with Auto Zone in any way.
I’ve owned my 2020 Pacifica now for maybe 3 years, i purchased it brand new, now my secondary battery just packed it in, thanks for posting this video very detailed and well put together,
I have a 2018 pacifica. I disconnected the aux battery. Taped up the terminal ends with electrical tape. I live with the warning indicator. It does not die at stoplights or when waiting to turn left. Also it doe not drain the main battery when the aux battery needs replacing. 100% better driving experience.
It's still ongoing. I took it to my repair guy and he found a rat had chewed up a bunch of wiring that ran the computer. So he had it for 3 weeks while we waited for parts. 6700 dollars later (of which I only pay my deductible, thanks AAA) I get it back and the light still comes on every now and then. So I might have to take it to an actual Chrysler dealer, but AAA won't pay for that.@@lanebellinger166
Thanks for the video. We changed the main battery as well as the the auxilary battery and A light is still on as well as the start/stop feature not working. What would cause this? or does it take time to work again? 2020, 58k miles and on my 3rd main battery and 2nd aux!
I unplugged the start/stop feature. Its so annoying and the amount of gas it saves is so little and the motor and starter wear is decreased dramatically
@@borninspainv Some models are different and some have a secondary battery so if yours isnt the way i describe then check owners manual. There should be a small box attatched to the negative terminal on your battery. Theres a wire that attatches to that small box on the side by a clip. Undo the clip and disconnect the wire from the small box. Mine has a small wire on top of the box thats attatched to the negative terminal, the wire you want is attatched to the small box. I wrapped the piece i disconnected from the small box with electrical tape to keep water out and prevent corrosion. After disconnecting the wire from the box there will be a yellow light on your dash that should look like a letter A, its just a warning light, it will always be there when its disconnected, thats the only downside. Like i said in the beginning, some models are different and the box may be attatched to that secondary battery if there is one. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask
That's what I would like to know. My stop/start feature stopped working 8 months ago. I never replaced the aux battery. My main battery died yesterdat. 2018 Pacifica.
Great video. Everything went great but the only thing now is I can't get the warning light A! (w/ circle) to go off. When I test drove the van, the start/stop system was not working like it previously had before either. I tried disconnecting the main neg. terminal and waiting but that did not turn it off. Any ideas? Should I be concerned? Thanks.
Hello Sir! My Pacifica shows the A icon, alongside with the on/off unavailable, it also shakes while driving once I reach 50-60 mph, when it does that, the engine icon turns yellow on the dashboard What do you think it’s the problem here?! Thank you
Having a similar issue originally gave me a p0304 changed all spark plugs, coil4 and fuel injector 4. a month later p0306 error changed all 6 coils and all 6 fuel Injectors not 2 days later a p0302 error. I'm losing my mind any suggestions?
