davis plays soft cause hes afraid of contact but the lakers have ancient dwight and semi washed dj in a tough era for his type of player next to him so he is stuck playing more center but thats la's fault for giving up morris drummond and mcgee three guys you could play at center and who were playing well so far when healthy...dj may score or reb but he gives up points on the perimeter on switches and close outs..the poor guy is a liability vs any pg with a jumper....you legit can not run dwight out there too many minutes or becomes a liability too....hes an energy guy at this point and when he runs out hes useless on the court...sure he can catch a lob dunk and a tip in or a rebound put back but on offense thats about it...and on defense hes also very slow on closeouts and switches so unless hes at the rim hes defense is a bit trash too...if you know how to play the matchup right he can be exposed now a days vs a curry green pick and pop or giannis khris pick and roll

I don't see it that way. Kenny actually looks at the game from a coaches perspective. AD isn't the reason why the Lakers are .500. They don't play defense at all, and they all haven't played together alot. Kenny would be a way better coach than Chuck or Shaq.

In fairness, the Lakers have more issues than just AD. Also, AD was never a superstar in this league. Everyone always believed he had that kind of potential but he never actually reached it. Very few players are superstars like Giannis, KD, or Steph.

Awful is a stretch. He’s top 11 in scoring while averaging 10 rebounds 3 assists and 2 blocks. The Lakers as a team are just not great at team defense at the moment. They score but they don’t stop anyone. They could improve but I can’t say it’s all on one player. They gotta improve as a team.

I believe that was the original plan. As Lebron got older, he'd fade back a bit and AD would be the next lead star of the Lakers. Then Lebron would get more rings. I remember back before the Lakers traded for AD and that Lebron had also considered Giannis. I don't think the Lakers get that ring without AD's jump shooting, but I bet Lebron has been wishing he could have Giannis since then.
