I LOVE THIS!! Sarah is soo amazing, also the depth of the meaning of the scene to betray a country, possibly 'treason,' to save someone else!! LOVE IT!!!

Yeah...the whole season 1 and half s2 she kept protecting him w/o telling him she loved him...maybe because she was unsure of her feeling since she never felt it like before that she did not know what it was....she kissed him in s1 and then told it was a mistake and started thinking as a spy and got jealous when he was with jill or even the ham girl ....
@@ApollonDriverAlso, she did say in season 1 that she would've blown her cover if she wasn't trained to withstand the truth poison that threatened to take Ellie's life.
I hear you. I watched so many that I decided to re-watch. I don’t if it’s because I binged but I found myself annoyed with their love story…. Fake couple, fake breakup , fake couple, she loves doesn’t love him, he’s over her he’s not over her. My mid season 2, I was a little annoyed…. That being said, it is a good show and Sarah (actress I forget) was a great actress. The emotions she shows by just her facial expressions were fantastic.
This is the first time Casey showed that Chuck was starting to grow on him. The utter surprise on his face when the general said "Granted" and the fact that he realized what Sarah was doing to be able to get right on their tail, but didn't take that opportunity.
"Permisson to drop the twirp into a deep dark hole general?" "Granted" "huh?" Loved that part!! But this whole scene is so sweet- it's finally showing how much sarah really cares about chuck. And then her voice kind of cracks a little when she says it's all a lie- I can't wait until the next episode!!
The voice in which Casey said "Operation moron is over ?" was just such a cute sad voice lol ! He sounded like a puppy who had a chew toy stolen from him, lol, that is if puppies could talk xD
You have to really pay attention to Yvonne Strahovski to appreciate her acting, like that little thing at 2:50 It isn't much but there's somehow a lot expressed in that small smile and the quiet laugh, as if she's saying "Screw this, it's wrong" without saying it plus if you pay attention real well you can see how unbelievably beautiful she is
... anymore, but one last full-length feature film would be awesome, just to finnish it off properly. This is one of the best shows I've ever seen (especially the first three seasons), and one of the reasons for that is the fact that they've put so much heart into it. It's more about the characters than about the storyline, so you develop "feelings" for the characters, and then it's even harder to let it go. But honestly, it felt "done" after the fifth season. Every good thing has an end.
That's a _darned_ good question. We know the _later_ Sarah would not, but this Sarah is still a lot like the Sarah at the start of S1, and if anybody doubts what she's like, just look at what Sarah does when her memory is wiped. The old Sarah was cold as ice and usually quite ruthless, and she was a swallow agent and thus a professional manipulator and deceiver. Earning people's trust in order to betray them is what she _did_ for a living, and before that she was a con artist, deception/betrayal again. So...had this Sarah been around Chuck and Ellie and Morgan enough to have changed enough, yet? If Chuck had not poked her in her newly awakened conscience, if Jill hadn''t warned him to watch his back to cause that...would Sarah have betrayed him? No way to know, but my guess is yes. She might have been filled with suicidal self-hatred later, she might have thrown her life away in futile attempts to fix things later, but my guess is she'd have done it at the time. Alternate-time-line scenario: the government bunkers Chuck...and Jill rescues him from them. You cut could the irony with a knife...
@@richardmeade8706 We know she was tempted to shoot him, but we don't know if she'd have gone through with it. And either way, it doesn't prove anything about what Sarah is about to do here. It certainly looks as if she's doing it, until Chuck mentions Jill's warning...
@@shermanlee4037 maybe, maybe not. Remember what she said at the motel "After all you`ve done for this country, you deserve to find you`re father and get those secrets out of your head"(i may not have that 100%).
omg love love loveee this scene sooo much!! Thanks for uploading it so I can watch it endlessly. HAhah =) Wow great acting from all of them =)) And I love sarah too :D
all chuck had to do was contact Sarah's mother and ask her to speak with Sarah , or tell Sarah her real names - Sam Lisa , or contact Jack burton and ask him to have a conversation with his daughter about the shnook,
Sarah likes him!!!! Nothing but love could have made her decide to help Chuck and break her orders from the general at risk of prison. And if she hadnt decided it already Chucks short speech about the CIA and how Sarah always looked out for him was the decider you could see as she watched the camera before telling Chuck they had to run
I've wrestled with this myself. I remember saying over and over again back in 2009 that the show had to change to survive because the formula was thin by the end of S2. But when they did change stuff, the show lost something. It just wasn't the same even though I think they tried their best. The other part of the equation was that with the constant threat of cancellation, they had to change too fast. Things felt rushed and uneven if you look at seasons 3-5. But it's still my favorite show.
caomhan84 the problem was they tried to reset everything at the start of season 3. They tried to keep sarah and chuck apart when they could have made them a couple who had to keep it secret from beckman while protecting chuck who was in more danger from intersect 2.0
Part of the magic of S1-S2 is Chuck as this ordinary guy (albeit a brilliant one) trapped in this insane, twisted spy-world. Even his friends in the spy world (Sarah and John) are a little crazy, and might end up killing him, his enemies in the spy world are unspeakable, and he's got a sensible normal fear of danger. But that _had_ to change. Chuck, trapped in that world, would either adapt to it and begin to become functional in it, one way or another...or die. It's impossible for him to stay the everyguy newbie forever.
In my opinion, the writers should never have let Chuck and Sarah consummate their relationship. A large part of the charm of the series was the sexual tension between the characters. They could have even professed their love for each other, but when they tried to consummate said relationship, something would wreck their plans. The writers could have had a field day coming up with different scenarios for spoiling their plans. To even great comedic effect.
@@richardmeade8706 Yeah, but past a certain point that stops working. You can't keep up a 'tease' forever. It's just like saying Chuck should have stayed a clueless innocent like he was in seasons one and part of two. Yeah, that was funny and it worked...but past a certain point it doesn't work anymore. Chuck would either get better at being in the spy world or die, and Chuck and Sarah eventually have to advance their relationship or break up.
@@bmla88 Season 3 had to separate Chuck and Sarah in order to prove they were perfect for each other. they were not ready to get together at the end of season 2. www.ohchuckme.com/season-3-conclusion/
Good eyes....Its the same road but the shot is different. In the pilot episode its brighter and you can see the street light, the shot was at a wider angle...this one is closer up I would say about 5 feet or so closer to the stop sign :)
The Irony of it all is that Chuck becomes the best spy in the Chuck universe, Chuck eclipses Sarah/Casey because he becomes the team leader who plans missions and was able to instill absolute loyalty from 2 trained assassins and the general who ordered his death in the season 2 premiere.
Kelley Sauer I recall hating Sarah at the start of the show. All the chaos she brought into Chuck’s life, and then when that doctor to blow up Casey, she was pissed at him that he believed she was the “mole”. I know she was hurt because she loved him but Jesus what was he supposed to think lmao. Almost as ridiculous as Chuck being shocked by Sarah killing the “hostage negotiator” in cold blood after he taunted her about knowing Chuck’s secret. Like bro, the CIA has killed people for far less aren’t you some sort of genius?
In S1, you can make a real good case that what Chuck should have been thinking about was how to _escape_ from Sarah (and Casey and the organizations). Even his attraction to Sarah takes on a tinge of Stockholm Syndrome if you look at it without shipper-glasses, back in S1. It's only after Sarah begins to change later that it starts to look less nasty.
Casey: Chuck needs you! Buy More needs you! The agency needs you! THE COUNTRY needs you! Lester: Canada?!? :D :D :D That's somewhere in the last 2 or 3 episodes.
Okey Sara is acting in acting and bieleve me it's hurt for actor lol like she try to act that's everything it's okey you can see her look etc that's genial
The show had a prefect recipe back then, all the characters made for a perfect and balanced dish. But they slowly changed things, I think the biggest mistake was to give the audience what they wanted. You take a big risk when you move away from the original concept, and in the end the show became too unbalanced. One good thing is that it hinders the show from repeating itself, but it also means it will probably fell "finnished" at some point, like a novel. I'm glad they didn't keep milking it...
But remember that the reason Jill got away was because Chuck would not allow her to be taken into custody by Sarah and Casey. Chuck chose Jill even though he knew she was FULCRUM. Later, he helped get Jill, only out of spite because Jill had proven she didn't care about him.
@@kelleysauer1693 theres no implication Jill didnt care about Chuck in the scene this is reinforced by her appearance in season 2 episode 20 in fulcrums leadership seminar headquarters
Jill was ready to throw away her chance for freedom to save Chuck and help him find his dad, and even when she was 'playing' him in earlier episodes it was pretty obvious that she was deeply conflicted. Now, she doesn't give a crap about _Sarah_ , she would have shot Sarah to get away...but if their positions were reversed Sarah would have shot Jill,, too. Sarah and Jill can't stand each other. But it's pretty obvious they both have feelings for Chuck.
