Forward C is a really good move when your opponent is blocking because you can combo into the command air throw followed by the dive ex move or key rekka into into ex dive if you're in a corner don't sleep on this fellas
Surprised on how good this quick 8min guide is! There are a lot of character guides out there that go on and on dragging out the video but you compiled the most imporant aspects of Ciel really well in a small time frame. Ciel is a diamond in the rough right now, hoping to see her shine soon!
Good guide! Some of the things I enjoy doing with foward C its using it in block strings, because if it connects on the corner, you can cancel into qcb A or foward B+C into combo, or in case it is blocked, you can throw aerial specials such as her command grab or proyectiles for a kind-of mixup or to keep a safe distance after the block string
Just started learning ciel abt 3 days ago, gotta say, comong from Akiha, Ciel is really liberating, you can actually play neutral, and can make vlov pay for his war crimes
LOL Indeed, and now she got a few buffs! Def nice to have a check against Vlov, especially if you were Akiha my dude Lykast plays her and also says Vlov is the king of war crimes hahahah
I use this conversion for Shield A follow-up midscreen: j.A - j.B - 214A - 2C - charged 5C - 2B - j.cancel - B - C - Airthrow (j.A into j.B can be swapped our for a single j.C or j.B) Or this easier midscreen route when moonskill is available: j.A - j.B - 6BC - 5B - charged 5C - 4C - 2B - j.cancel - B - C - Airthrow They both work in the corner but aren't optimal to do in the corner, the video showcases a decent corner variation already. For 6 C usage, we can chain 6C on block into either j.214A/B or j.236B for somewhat of a RPS between frame trap, true blockstring with j.214A/BBB or a throw with 236B, the throw can then be converted into an Oki with j.236C or into a full combo using moon drive.
YOOOO coming in with the knowledge :D Mega appreciate you! That use of 6C -> j.214A/B I really love cause it reminds me of Millia's 6HS in Guilty Gear. It's first hit puts one in air state just like this 6C allowing for air specials to cancel. Thanks a ton for pointing that out, its a detail I missed but can now remember easily by association!
If you have meter you can get some extra damage if you go for Launcher>jBC>j214BBB>236C Depending on Combo length you might have to omit the JB or JC. It can be wonky sometimes if you don't do j214BBB as quick as possible 236C might miss. But you get decent extra damage and HKD.
Oh hell yeah thats dope! I like that alot for burning meter, cause yeah I thought following j214BBB with j214 C felt like a waste cause it was so low, so 236C certainly sounds all around great to do then. Thank you! :D
YOU'RE WELCOME! Glad you enjoyed it ^ ^ I have some plans in the works right now, don't want to promise what I can't keep but I can say that I am indeed continuing it as I type!
Ok I have to say that as someone who doesn't have any direct experience with fighting games, this short guide is very well put together, keeping things consice and clear while giving just enough detail to get it's purpose but not too much to bog down the lesson. Along with that directly saying what it's purpose is and saying ways to actually use it match by match is super useful. I would highly suggest making more of these if your interested since this is very well put together and could be a simple but very effective at teaching players about these characters or even just understanding them like in my case since I watch vids like this to better understand the gameplay of higher level matches. Also ciel is a human pinball with throwing swords and a pocket fuckoff gun that likes to corner people while getting out of corners stupidly good, who doesn't find that appealing.
Thank you! ^ ^ If you've used your launcher, I think 6C is a fine option. I do think that air throw though, if you have an air action left over, is much stronger positioning. By jumping the moment after airthrow, you will have the ability to throw a key safely which will hit them when they wake up. If you do want to be in their face however you can always airdash instead and you'll be there as they stand up!
