The fact that they're literally more comfortable making a tier list for cigarettes than for Long John Silver's really tells a lot about the latters reputation
Did you watch the video? Have you ever tried long john silvers? Youre trying to take the moral high road but you forgot that other people also have eyes and brains
I quit smoking about 6 years ago after smoking for 30+ years. My smoking was the primary cause of me having a stroke and all of the doctors I talked to all told me if I went back to smoking it would either cause a massive stroke that would leave me permanently disabled or just outright kill me. One stroke was enough for me thank you very much.
They are lying. They told the same thing to my father. But still after 8/9 years he never had a stroke or anything bad. Although 2 months ago i heard the Dr. Has been diagnosed with critical liver disease 💀 Sooo...shockkiiinnngggg
Good. Because it only takes smoking one time and the person liking it for them to form an addiction, which could lead to cancer and a WHOLE list of other complications no one ever really thinks of. Like Heart Disease and COPD. You know what would be better than handling them like one puff can give you cancer? Just leaving this video in the land of idea. Because this could inspire any number of his young fans to try to rank them too. Which is a problem, when it only takes one cigarette for someone to decide they like smoking. I quit in December. I didn't quit in time. My greatest fear in life was to suffocate or drown. Now, I have sentenced myself to a slow death of suffocation from smoking for too long.
Lucky cigarette comes from WWII. Soldiers who smoked when opening a pack would take the first cigarette out and turn it upside down. After smoking the entire pack aside from the lucky one they would open a new pack, turning the first cig in the new pack upside down, smoking a cigarette, and taking the lucky one from the first pack and putting it into the new pack. Now they have two lucky cigarettes. This process was repeated until they had an entire pack of lucky cigarettes (upside down ones) if you had an entire pack of lucky cigs then you were considered a lucky man for surviving for so long. A study was actually done years ago on soldiers who did this and they found out that they had a statistically higher survival rate by doing this. It kept them more alert and aware by doing a repeated action and striving towards having a full pack of lucky cigarettes. Edit: wish they still put cigs in MRE's 😂 I wouldn't have had to buy 3 cartons before goin out to the field lol.
@@TojiFushigoroWasTakenand it probably gamified their survival to the point that it motivated them to work harder, the way it’s described sounds kinda like a video game objective, and the full psck of Luckys is the epic loot you get😂
@@edwinvillalobos7159Yeah probably helped keep guys from thinking “yep I’m sick of being wet and cold and muddy and hungry and thirst and tired and sore and scared and sick I’m gonna go find a heroic way to die”
That was interesting to learn. Considering they were getting them on a weekly ration, getting a full pack wasn't achievable in 2-3 weeks, but that would take a lot more, so they were indeed lucky to survive that long. People from my country who were alive during WWII had stories about the German soldiers trading cigarettes and chocolate for food with the villagers. They served as currency too. And before someone will do a shitty joke ending in a skull emoji, the chocolate containing meth is a stupid myth started by a braindead journalist. It contained caffeine instead.
My dad’s go-to brand was Canadian Goose. Last year he got hospitalized for a few months (unrelated to smoking), and because he wasn’t able to smoke, he ended up losing his appetite for them. He hasn’t had a cigarette since. I’m so incredibly happy and proud of him :)
I can’t tell you the pure insurmountable disappointment I felt when I realized I wouldn’t be watching a 30 minute video of Charlie and gang cheefing lung darts
what?? I actually like both the passive smoke and the one you inhale, I grew up with gramps smoking marlboros in his car after he was done with work, good times
I know it’s bad, but I actually like it when I can smell the secondhand smoke from a cigarette (but this is coming from a person who has never done firsthand smoking, so)
Actually they’re all smoking in this video. That’s why cigarettes are the worst due to second hand smoke. The only way only one person would smoke is if the others had air masks to filter it.
@@alexjv1370 He means that Chelsea is the only one who actually smokes regularly, not that she is the only one who is getting exposed to the smoke, obviously if they're all in the room they're getting exposed to it
i started smoking around 17 basically just because i wanted to be cool, i got addicted to them and had a very hard time putting them down - i am 27 now and am happy to say i haven’t had a smoke in over 5 months! (:
As a 14yr old I ain’t stupid enough to do cigs off of one video with comments filled of the horrible effects they have. The only people who are stupid enough are 10-12yr olds, and a lot of them wouldn’t even know where to get it.
@@idiomasentusiasticos7954they could just do the super typical ones like GSC and Maui wowie and shit like that it would be impossible to do every single one but still a stellar idea I would pay to see that lol
Only if they are big on flavours, otherwise it would be like when you give a newbie any strain, it could be bushweed or an a class rare og only sold at cups or events, and the answer would both be "that goes hard, s tier bruh"
"Yea I already quit I'm never gonna touch those things again" -pulls vape out of pocket mid sentence Matt also holding the ciggy like a joint was peak 😂
That's because you don't know what freedom is. Cigarettes are bad and nobody should smoke them but.... Making a package red or green isn't starting people smoking
@@TheLongDon I can agree with that, however although it wouldn’t be a major reason, it makes the product more visually appealing. In Australia all branding is in the same font on a white box which includes images of the potential dangers of smoking eg: lung cancer, terminally ill people that have smoked in the past to hopefully steer people away from buying their first packet of cigarettes. It won’t necessarily steer people away that are addicted, but it may help someone who was on the fence with starting smoking change their mind
@@Miklovin I don't believe it. The biggest pressures you'll get from smoking are going to be peer pressure, where the packaging doesn't really matter at all. This would help keep children away from being interested in it but like ... Your parents should already be doing that. The US cut smoking down in teens from 23% to 5% just through education alone. That's an 88% reduction in teen smoking. Can't do better than that without stepping on toes, and the US is unique in that it is built around NOT stepping on toes
@@TheLongDon not saying that peer pressure doesn’t play a huge factor, nor does education. But you can’t argue that taking away the visually appealing side of packaging doesn’t play a role in taking away from the appeal of picking up a packet of cigarettes. The main points as to why all cigarettes are sold in olive green packs, is because research has shown that it is least appealing to smokers. As spoken by one of our main senators at the time of passing in 2011, "If this legislation stops one young Australian from picking up a shiny, coloured packet and prevents them becoming addicted to cigarettes then in my view it will have been worthwhile." The boxes continue to carry stark health warning messages and pictures, which cover 75% of the front of the pack and 90% of the back. If you’re saying that adding stark health warnings and images doesn’t in some way enforce some users, or new users to turn away from the chance of purchasing cigarettes then I’m not sure how you’ve come to that conclusion. Education is vital in Australia and it is commonly frowned upon to smoke cigarettes. However Australia has taken the extra step to make cigarettes and their packaging less appealing, something that wouldn’t hurt America in following. You have to see that it reduces smoking in younger people and the fact that tobacco companies have been using packs very effectively as one of the last forms of advertising. Due to the new legislation only about 15% of adults in Australia smoke compared with 23% a decade ago
Can't wait for the new Drug themed content, like -how to do crack -how long should a line be -Is LSD awesome -Crack again because we are hooked -Crack reloaded, like the Matrix it gets shittier with each try.
The crew was officially more comfortable doing a full cigarette tier list before ever letting any Long John Silver’s items in any of their other videos.
@@rickywhittaker4978 a bad shroom trip got me to quit, i recommend it to anyone who is trying to quit.. all be it, be sound of mind and in a comfortable place first; but i seriously wish i tried it sooner.
@@gunkcancerr Having a drink makes me want to hit the bong. The bong hit later makes me want a cigarette. After a cigarette or two I need a drink. The circle of death...
I'm 27, smoked for 15 years but quit a few years ago. My best friends brother was in the army and spent a total of 3 years in Iraq over multiple deployments. When he opened a pack he took one out flipped it around and stuck it back in. That was always his last lucky cigarette.
As a smoker I honestly enjoy when people over play the character and treat them as the cancer sticks they are. I love cigarettes but acknowledge the shit behind them
I don't, it's pathetic. Everyone already knows they are bad. Alcohol is what needs to be treated like this. I hate people that treat smokers like the plague. Smoking isn't nearly as bad for you as alcohol and Charlie didn't show any hate towards it. He drank it for the tier list
@@BushidoNinjatf is wrong with you xD Alcohol is bad if you’re a dumbass that drinks until you pass out Drinking one or two beers ain’t bad, but smoking even one cigarette is twice as bad
@BushidoNinja I totally get and can respect that. Alcohol absolutely has been trivialized with how bad it is, being sloppy drunk to people is funny but God forbid you smoke a dart and suddenly you're disgusting. It's truly a strange society based paradox.
@@BushidoNinja He is a human being that doesnt like cigarettes for a lot of valid reasons, I’m sure that he would tell you that drinking isnt safe or good for you either.
I am a smoker, have been since I was 16, and I am.. kinda shocked. Been a menthol smoker and I'm now 26. For the LOVE of ALL that is holy, DO NOT START THIS HABIT. It sucks and will make you feel like shit, and is INSANLY DIFFICULT to quit.
Also expensive as fuck 😂 I started smoking cigs, moved to vapes, then to dip, and now on zyn. Don’t even wanna know how much money I’ve spent over the years 😅
I've been smoking since 14 I'm 27 now and I'm right with you *DO NOT SMOKE* Though a couple years back I switched from menthols to American spirits (yellow pack) they are non menthol and since then my lungs have cleared up noticeably might be worth a try I blame the menthol but idk for sure 🤷♂️
It gets worse at old age too. My Dad quit smoking right before he got COPD in his late 60's. He is in his late 70's now, which I should be thankful for to have him this long as he was an avid smoker, but everyday is hell for him with COPD. I hope that one day you can find the strength in you to kick them.
Why doesn't alcohol get this kinda hate tho? It's far more dangerous. I don't promote smoking either but it's weird how much love alcohol gets and hate tobacco gets.
@@Stuugie. most smokers gain weight after stopping, its an apettite supressant, it speeds up your metabolism(for about two minutes then it resets), releases dopamine, cigarettes are amazing weight loss tools we arent talking about!
I smoked a 3 packs a day for a years. I remember my buddy said that smoking isn’t as safe as drinking I wish that was true cause he had liver disease and died 😂 @45 and I’m still here smoking 10 years later.
We do too here in Australia and they’re expensive af. Some shops do illegal imports tho and they’re cheap but extremely high quality and original packaging, so I’m probably destined for cancer lmao

My whole life I’ve been chain smoking the entire pack. Turns out you’re just supposed to spark it with a kitchen lighter and lightly waft the smoke towards your face. Yet another example of how immensely educational your videos are 🙏
well, if you want to live a decent life then that is probably the best option. your literally throwing your life away, it is one of the most idiotic decisions you can make, you are killing your self for a brief sence of pleasure that will only lead to suffering in the long run.
For anyone wondering Smokers open a new pack of cigarettes and the FIRST ONE YOU TOUCH comes out, flip it so the filter is by the top put it back and then you smoke that last for good luck
I was just over a pack a day smoker for three years. I’ve been off tobacco for 6 years now. Don’t be afraid to quit, just remember it’s a battle, but damn is it worth.
Same. Smoke a pack and a half/two packs a day. Havent had a cigarette for at least 9 years. Though sometimes I miss the ritual of it, I tried one and it is fucking gross.
i was a smoker for about 2 years with a minimum of 5 a day and now a little more than 5 months clean. Gotta say watching this video is like exposure therapy and makes me crave one badly
No. The lucky is not just the last cigarette in the pack. The lucky is the one you choose when you open the pack, flip it upside down and that's the last one you smoke. It's a weird stigma thing, kinda like packing them before openening them.
I love Charlie packing the Marlboros backwards at 1:20. It's kind of adorable. Actual tier list: S: Lucky Strikes (filtered) A: American Spirits, Lucky Strikes (unfiltered), Largo SunGrown (rolling tobacco) B: Camel Wide, Camel Turkish Royal C: Regular ol' Camel, Pall Mall, Parliament D: Marlboro (literally any variety) F: Virginia Slims, Newport, Kool, Camel Crush, any menthol, really. Jesus Christ, I hate menthols. Never tried that shit: 305's. What the fuck even are these...? They remind me of this carton of cigarettes I can't even remember the name of that were so God damn bad the tobacco store was literally giving away the cartons for free and, after smoking _one_ of them (one cigarette and not one whole carton), my buddy and I just left the carton sitting on a trash can outside a Winco. That carton then sat there for a few days or weeks at a time, disappear for a day or two, and then re-appear with one pack missing. This went on for MONTHS. I also just remembered what they were called: Banditos. Light 100's. Honorable mention: Djarum Black, 'cause they're technically "cloves" and not really "cigarettes" if you want to be super pedantic, which I always do.
9:58 squeeze in the sides of the packet slightly. This is also a common way to find the "lucky cigarette" that you guys were talking about at the beginning. Squeeze the sides of the packet and flick the bottom/tap it on something. The cigarette that comes up the highest is the lucky cigarette, flip it over and save it for last.
i’m sorry charlie for i have sinned. i have partaken in many cigarettes even in my youth. since 16 i have been rippin drunk cigs into the night on my noble steed with nothing but my past behind me and destiny ahead. truly an unimaginable amount of cigarettes for now only being 18. after watching this video and reflecting on the damage the small joys do to my overall health i have decided that i will only smoke 1 cig on the weekends. truly a step in the right direction. my asthmatic lungs thank you.
Same age I’ve been vaping since I was 12 smoking weed/carts/cigarettes since I was 13. With all of the fake shit since carts and vapes came around I can’t breath. A few mornings a week I throw up mucus that’s caked in my chest/lungs. Don’t do it shit sucks. Also vapes and carts have drastically reduced my lung function a lot more than cigarettes. lucky cig for me is basically where you tap the bottom of the pack and whatever cig goes up the highest you flip and put back for last use, so called lucky cigarette.
I never get to see the actual cigarette boxes where I live. The government has enforced 'plain packaging' here for like 15 years or more. Instead of these stylish boxes, all the packs look the same and each one has a picture and a message about the harms of smoking.
