The enjoyment of cigars does not need to be tied to how much the cigar cost or how popular it is with other people.

I’m sitting on my porch smoking a cigar and feeling stressed about the craziness in our country right now, and I stumble across this channel. I finish the first video, immediately subscribe, and look at a second video. I give it a thumbs up and then, after another puff on my cigar, realize that I have completely forgotten that I was stressed 20 minutes ago. This country needs a lot more people with this laid back view of life. Thank you sir for saving part of my afternoon, and more in the future. Now, I will slowly finish my cigar

What's your favorite cigar to smoke David?
@amwestconsultingservices9200
I worked in Iraq for 6 years during the war as a contractor and continued my work in Afghanistan for another 12 years till it ended. Everywhere I traveled, I brought some cigars with me. After a long stressful day, I and my fellow contractors would sit around a picnic table and smoke cigars and talk about our day, talk about home, talk about anything.. it gave us a chance to wind down. I am still living and working in the Middle East and once a week I and my buddies get together and have a nice Dominican or Cuban cigar and catch up. Smoking cigars is more than just smoking.. it's a "moment" that only those who have experienced it can understand.

I worked as a contractor as well in that part of the world, and some in south America. I worked for a company called blackwater witch are named something else now. We would smoke a good cigar after been out in the field when we can. I took a bunch with me, naturally they didnt last very long. I like this guy alot, i am retired now and i just like to ride horses and smoke good cigars. anyway i thought i would say hello, i dont hear from contractors alot on here.

I'll never forget when I first started in cigars I had a $25 cigar (which was the most exspensive one I had bought at the time). I thought was going to be the best in the world and when I finally had it it was gross......some of the best cigars I've had have been $5. Price isn't everything and I've applied that to life

I am Canadian, I don’t smoke cigars and I don’t have horses but I got snagged and can’t stop listening to this amazing soul of a cowboy. I don’t even really know how I found him and his channel. I think RU-vid put him in my feed because I was researching anything I could fond about border collies and stick dogs. I thought o was going to hear something new about border collies and I get an amazing talk about the world at large and how you can’t change a donkey because it’s in his nature. Now I’m hooked! I even share a few talks on my fb page. I don’t usually get any response and my followers probably think I’ve finally gone mad, lol! I lost my wife last Aug to cancer and with her health decline I lost just a about everything I owned. I now am living in a trailer on a little piece of land trying to prepare for the harsh winters that we get here in Ontario just below Algonquin park. I find that listening to one of these talks each morning to start my day while I roast and drink my coffee is so very grounding and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you for being you in the world and thank you for sharing your wisdom. It has helped me quite a lot!🙏😊

@@akuthelazy7342 oh yeah I’ve had that happen before, tar buildup is no fun! Hello Dwayne, let me start off by saying I really enjoy your channel there is a lot of wisdom to be found in your videos. I have an uncle who owns a couple of plow horses that can be ridden also so my wife and I enjoy taking them out on the property but we are both definitely novice and the horses seem to know that so they treat us with kid gloves they are that gentle. I too enjoy a good Maduro cigar and a pipe. I watched the video you made in your Suburban about your favorite books and you mentioned mixing Lane 1-Q with Kentucky Dark Fired. I enjoy both those blends so I thought I'd give them a mix and it turned out to be a very good smoke so thank you for that tip even if it wasn't meant to be one. I've rambled long enough so God Bless you and yours and keep up the great content. Thanks much.

Same goes for wine and whiskey. Expensive doesn't = enjoyment. Great wisdom Dewayne.

Love this video! I just started smoking cigars recently. An I tried a handful from 7-20$ but last night I smoked a $4 infused cigar and it was honestly so good 😅 still working on my pallette but I definitely relate to what you said.

Oliva V has been one of my favorites. Glad to see you with it. Spot on about price/quality ratios. Can be found in bourbon as well. I’m going to grab a Partagas Black Label since I haven’t tried it.

That Oliva V is a FINE cigar. Great video as usual! I'd also like to recommend the Fuente 858 Maduro. Inexpensive cigar that is probably the finest in it's respective price range.

Have you tried the Fuente Cuban Corona? If not, highly recommended I like it better then the 858.

I concluded this after smoking the Oliva Serie G. It was my ‘holy cow’ moment, getting all of these different flavor combinations than I would have ever looked-for or expected (probably via the Cameroon wrapper). And when you see the price, and then you hear a shop owner confirm a lot of smokers don’t prefer the flavor of the G, I knew I found my favorite stick. Sure, there are far more complex and fuller-bodies cigars out there, but those are for different occasions. I like the idea of enjoying something that just ‘works’ and doesn’t always demand your full attention. Like good people. 😂

Good cigar advice. JR Tobacco carries Rosa Cuba in various sizes that I really like as a everyday working cigar. With shipping, bundles of 20 were in low $40 range last time I purchased some which has been a while.

I had a friend who had a relative from Cuba coming for a visit and he brought me a box of Partagus cigars from Havana. They were incredible. I got them for $100 for the box. They were so soft and moist. Wish I could get another box.

Fresh cigars that are stored at the correct temperature and humidity are key regardless of price. Shops that have fast turnover and a good humidor makes a huge difference. A cute, dark skin check-out girl makes the experience even better

I definitely have my daily smokes and special occasion ones. But ones I know are amazing like a nice Padron 1964 Maduro or Plasencia Alma Fuerte. Love a great Alec Bradley Project 40 Maduro, Charter Oak Maduro, and papas Fritas as daily smokes. Umbagog by DTT is also a solid daily smoke choice for me. Love these videos man!

I get Factory Smoke for when I'm doing yard work. When I want to sit on my porch and just chill, I like to try different sticks but my go to is usually La Gloria Cubana Medio Tiempo. Only been smoking for two years. So I have a lot to learn and a lot of sticks to try out.

you are speaking the truth..factory smokes were the first bundles that I purchased now I have a Coolidor full of a wide range of brands at different prices. I usually have a "good" one in the morning and I still smoke the Factory smokes on my breaks at work.

Drew Estate Diesel Unholy Cocktail is one of my budget favorites. I like full-bodied bold cigars and not only does it meet that, but it's a Belicosa with a large ring - another favorite. I buy them on auction for less than $4 each (more often $3.50 ea) and they please me more than some of the 2 dozen other brands I rotate in my box consistently. I buy mixer 5 packs a lot just so I don't have to commit and get to experiment. I support your statement - big money cigars aren't always better cigars - to you.

Great video. Thanks for having shared some wisdom. I’m a young man, I’m almost done my welding trade and I’m about to step into my adult life. In a few months I’ll have my money saved up and my skill developed, I’ll be ready to move out of my parents house. I’ve never had a girlfriend, but I’m starting to get past that interest, I’m begging to be much more interested in working hard towards a financially stable life style that I can sustain. I’m much more interested in saving up for a house & a car so that when I do find the one I can have a family with her. I’m significantly more interested in being someone’s father than being someone’s boyfriend of the month. I’m only 19, I’m nowhere near ready, but I’m begging to work towards it. Thanks for the great content it’s very nice to relax after a long day

Enjoying your channel very much. I always tell people to smoke what they like. Taste is very subjective. Something I can't stand may be right up their alley. Some of the factory smokes are great to smoke when I'm working or mowing, and don't want to risk ruining a pricier cigar. Another inexpensive good one is the Flor de Oliva. It's an inexpensive Oliva that's about $2 a stick in a bundle of 20.
