Cindy Origins - Most Powerful Supe Who Can Tear Apart Homelander That No One Is Talking About 

Cindy isn’t even close to Homelander/Soldier Boy level. Especially Homelander. They’re all but invulnerable (several times stronger than steel) and are massively strong. She’s not coming back from having her head punched off. If Cindy was such a threat, then Vought wouldn’t be keeping her doped in an asylum. Remember, Homelander is so strong, they kept a nuke next to him as a child.

I like this character, and was wondering if we'd see her again? Hell we recently saw Love Sausage so I'm hoping she'll return in a big way.

I hope they didn't forget about her and continue her story

The irony of lamplighter, the guy playing him was Iceman and Pyro was his enemy who used his powers that same way and now he's the one with pyrokinesis

Vic and Homelander played right into Edgars hand, he has gotten himself out of the way after setting the board with Starlight, Homelander, and Vic all poised to discredit the Seven and bring down the Sups. Right now he’s completely detached from Voight and all the dirty shit is going to land on Homelander and Ashley. He told Starlight how to use her real power against Homelander and weaponize her own rabid fan base against Homelander. He insisted that Stormfront be on the Seven knowing that it would destabilize and radicalize Homelander into doing something stupid, which nearly happened at the rally. Then he fired A-Train sending him right into the arms of the Church of the Collective where he could find the dirt on Stormfront shattering the illusions of “all Supes are good people” I think that look on his face when Vic betrayed him was pride, that all his hard work grooming her paid off, and that he was able to enact the final step of his plan without actually initiating it himself. The next time we see Edgars he’s going to be clean as a whistle while all his pawns are covered in shit.

Cindy is like eleven but far more scary

I would like to know what kept her in her cell. Her cell must have some unique properties to be able to contain her. It doesn't seem like anyone at the facility except Stormfront is capable of subduing her. Lamplighter is visibly afraid when he sees her exit her cell. So he's well aware of what she can do. Which means she's probably tried to escape before or killed several people who insulted her.

I like the idea of her being a more powerful, in control, and out of control version of Eleven. Like if Eleven was just pissed and had no draw backs from using her power.

I hope the show doesn't forget about this character. We haven't seen her at all in Season 3.

It's strange how no one has theorized that Cindy may have already had her powers when she was transferred to Sage Grove. She can be the biological daughter of some other major Supe, kidnapped and contained by Vought as insurance. If this was the case and Lamplighter was aware of it, he'd definitely want to be her friend, considering how he was thrown out of the 7, and probably still has a grudge against them.

Cindy is really most powerful with their psychokinetic abilities but I still think Soldier boy could take her given on all the experimentation and augmentation he's had over the years since he was captured by Russia plus he would be vaporized an entire city block

StormFront knocked her out with lightning and minimal effort. She isn't as strong as you think.

I dont think Cindy would stand a chance against Homelander. We've seen Stormfront absolutely anihilate Kimiko's brother, who also had telekinetic power and whilst he might not have been as durable as Cindy, it cost Stormfront almost no effort to subdue Cindy for a while. And as we all know Ryan, who probably still is far off from being as powerful as his father didn't need a second to strongly wound Stormfront. Even Victoria, who already showed that she's powerful enough to blow up Supes, didn't even try to harm Homelander, because she knows she wouldn't stand a chance. I think if all, people in these comments are underestimating Homelander. Against Soldier Boy though, I think the matchup would be more even, unless he was to use his laserbeam.

I wouldn't be surprised if they kept Cindy off the radar until the very end. We watch Victoria slowly move up the chain unopposed while everyone is busy with Homelander, and just when she thinks she's reached the top Cindy shows up and reversals the ol' head pop.

The wiki/fandom sort of describes Neuman’s powers as accelerating the speed of molecules to a point where they explode, like a microwave essentially, it requires direct line of sight and is described as tentative (her childhood friend who was a supe covered her eyes with his hands, making her unable to implode him temporarily during their brief scuffle) I don’t believe the two are meant to be closely related because the “explosion powers work a little differently scientifically than Cindy’s “implosion” powers, which is essentially just telekinetic crushing. I think people just saw implode and explode and ran with the theory even though their powers seemingly work very differently

Don't know about that. He was pretty sure his head wouldn't get popped by the lady head popper lol I forget her name. But I think he's resistant against that kind of ability. Out of the butcher and Soldier boy fight homelander only took a bruse to his face.

I'm willing to bet that Cindy's power is telekinetic. Doesn't matter what the material is, she can crush it without touching it. Since she's been shown doing it to living tissue and solid metal it rules out magnetic powers. Another theory I've had is gravity manipulation. If you can locally increase gravity you can crush things quite easily, everything has a breaking point. Though, if if it was that human bodies wouldn't explode and the doors would have crumpled into orbs instead of folding in half. Gravity draws everything to a central point. Probably telekinetic. I'm also thinking the people she's killing tried to rape her or something. The general gist of the show is that human behavior is what drives a lot of the supes misbehavior and problems. Granted some people are just bad but for the most part all of the supes with issues have something in their past related to how they were treated. Either it's a trigger point or they just say fuck that noise and use their power to deal the problem. A lone female with a shaved head and clothing that looks poor or mental place-ish. Yeah, the world is full of men who'd try some shady shit.

When I first saw Cindy's character I thought she was going to be a WAY bigger plot point than what they made her. I don't know if they're saving her for some type of finale. But if they don't use her in a big way, the writers of the show are stupid. There's no better way of saying it.

Cindy's powers appear to be gravity based.

Cindy is Magneto. Homelander is Superman. In a fight between Supes and Mags, Supes wins every time. She is a powerhouse. But, she's no Homelander.

I havent seen the video yet but I dont think she cant beat homelander. 1. Her power is similar to head popping girl and she couldnt hurt starlight (nose bleed) 2. Homelander got crushed by kimiko's brother under a bus and wasnt even hurt 3. Stormfront beat her really easily I think vough supers are stronger.

I don't think she'll be a pivotal character, but she might be an important one. I think everyone in that asylum was meant to be one of Vought's many secret weapons. And I hope she becomes either an ally or a third party, like Soldier Boy was.

Cindy is a Victoria Neumann on steroids, but she's nowhere near Homelander's league. Until she canonically levels at least a city block like Soldier Boy, she's a B-lister.

Finally someone remembers cindy! Idk about her being able to tear homelander or soldier boy apart, but yeah definitely feel like shes a loose thread still.

She survived Stormie's electric shock attack but was clearly incapacitated by it. I don't think Stormie was using her full power, nor did we get to see if Cindy's attack can damage or kill her (and likely not since Homelander's heat vision doesn't seem to damage Stormie, although he probably wasn't using full power either). I don't think Cindy can tear apart Homelander, lol.

From a story telling standpoint its implied she's soldier boy/homelander tier because of the very deliberate reaction we see from Lamplighter. Throughout the show its generally implied that the top supe team has (for the most part) the strongest supes around at the time. In soldier boys era it was payback, and in modern time its the 7. We see more of the 7 so I'll use that example but we see similar parallels between both groups. Basically the members of each team treat most of their teammates as rivals and while they may be combative with eachother aren't generally scared of one another, with the big exception being the team leaders homelander and soldier boy respectively who we see many group members not only defer to, but regularly tread on egg shells out of fear, knowing that homelander/soldier boy are a cut above and could kill them if they got on their bad side. We never see any of these powerful supes scared of other supes powers, in fact most of the time they bicker and fight with eachother without much worry, all confident in their own powers enough to know fighting eachother would likely be a toss up. Again the only exceptions being homelander and soldier boy... Except for Cindy. The only time we see a top superhero team level supe immediately code switch and start defering to another soup out of sheer fear is the way Lamplighter is immediately terrified of Cindy. I mean sure he retired, but that was likely more to do with Vaught trying shoo him out gracefully as punishment for Mallory's grandkids than it was him nolonger being powerful enough. And while we don't see Lamplighter fight as a member of the seven, based on where we do see him fight there isn't really any implication that his powers have diminished in any way. He should be a match for most strong supes, I mean we do see his flame melt through Cindy's steel reinforced door like it's nothing. Yet he's immediately terrified of her and defers and tries to placate her in a way we only ever see other supes do with homelander and soldier boy. It's for this reason, while the show doesn't necessarily show the full extent of her power, it strongly implies that she's on that same tier of stomach clenching, brow sweat inducing, nervous placation invoking power as homelander and soldier boy. Does that mean she's stronger than them? Not necessarily, but she's definitely probably a similar threat level, especially if she really is at least partially based on Dark Phoenix a is a top caliber telepath like the show implies.

Cindy could be brought down by homelander with a strong enough hit. I do doubt that she could tear homelander apart because of his laser vision but she could possibly harm him

I cant see Cindy doing any damage to soldier boy considering he walks through shrapnel and as for Homelander not a chance he'd cut her in half before she even got near to him not even mentioning his masively superior strength speed and durability. Neuman has a much better chance Homelander even says in the show "give it a go it might work"when he's in her apartment and she's thinking about it as she attacks from the inside out.

Going from the comics, I'm 100% sure she's just a contingency plan for if Homelander got out of hand.

She is the same character as Graviton. Telekinesis on a molecular level. She can pop Homelander like a soap bubble. Anyone that thinks Homelander can survive must think he can beat Saitama. Don't fool yourself. Cindy can crush a city into a bite sized ball. She can create black holes and singularities. Homelander can't beat that.

I was wondering why we havnt seen here again. Though I’m still thinking we will get an ending like in the comics. While Noir seemed to be deathly scared of Soldier Boy and seems to be as old, somehow I think that his identity will be key to Homelanders meltdown. But I’d love to see Cindy make a comeback, and I’m pretty sure we havnt seen the end of her. I hope!

I'm surprised to many people don't seem to understand Cindy's character. Cindy suffers from extreme mental trauma that was inflicted to her while she was treated as an experiment in the facility. This is why she didn't got out even if she could. The whole point is that she is mentally controlled by Stormfront. She is by far the most powerful supe in the series in terms of pure destruction, as she doesn't need a line of sight on her intended victim to make their head explodes, contrary to Victoria. Also, all she needs to do is to close her first and think of the thing she want to crush, which is significantly less efforts than Kenji, whose power is also similar. To prove the point, Homelander said to Victoria : "Are you gonna blow my head up?" - so clearly, if Victoria could do it, then Cindy could definitely defeat him as well. The whole point of the show is that ther real powers is how much *mental influence* they have on each other : Victoria is not gonna blow up Homelander's head because she needs him and Homelander knows that. Cindy could not defeat Stormfront because she was mentally convinced that Stormfront was way more powerful than her. If you make a horse believe that a tiny tree can hold it's weight and attach the horse with a tiny string to the tiny tree, it can stay it's whole life absolutely convinced that it will never be able to get away. That's what Cindy's character is.

I think she could give it a try to attack soldier boy by doing her little move. But as soon as she would realize that it has no effect on homelander, her head would fall off after homelander used his laser eyes

I have no idea what kind of role Cindy will play if she does come back. I did notice something about her when watching this episode the second time. The first time, I was preoccupied with what the main characters were doing. When she says she hates liars, she doesn’t have evil eyes. If anything, she seems like she’s been used and betrayed and wants revenge. Something tells me those hitchhiker killings weren’t random.

Well first of all, people would stay the hell away from them all regardless of how nice they are (because it's like a flying Kalashnikov walking amongst you), apart from those that want to capture them to understand how their powers WORK. Which means the social and technological landscape would be very different...petty crime would be the LEAST of our problems

"Cindy is a parody of 11" - eh, she's more like Jack from Mass Effect 2. The trope of shaved head, damaged psyche females with intense psychokinetic powers and a "fish out of water" element to their story goes back a long way, starting with Firestarter. But Jack debuted in 2009 or 2010, predating 11 by a long time and having a very, very similar character in both design and powers.

She's not that strong. I feel like even Maeve or noir could beat her. Stormfront fucked her up. Also she was unlikable and bland. They really should never have introduced her to be honest.

I hope they continue her story. She already is an interesting character. Scary and powerful. Full of mysteries. We don’t know exactly how Vought captured all those people. The experiments were most certainly brutal. We seen that guy that almost killed Hughie extremely traumatized and scared. Vought tortured them with their experiments and burned them alive after the experiments were done. One of the darkest moments in the series, and for sure one of the most interesting ones.
