Caleb -Love your designs BUT what advice do you have for someone like myself that could use this setup but I need to use my Arca Swiss quick release plate to remove the camera quickly and add it to a gimbal. I dont have time to break this set-up down to add to a gimbal when I'm on the run at shoots. I feel like you need (rig options or sell the parts (cheese plate...etc) separate so we can design our rig to suit our needs

I got mine all set up today! It's killer! Something to note for those installing though: - Before bolting in the CineBack to the SmallRig cage, I would test installing the bolts into the cage and tighten them. Then bolt the cage and CineBack together. It helps prevent the threads in the cage from stripping, as I noticed a lot of resistance when trying to bolt the cage to the CineBack and it wanted to strip. - I'd avoid trying to tighten any bolts going into the 3D printed material, further than they are now. It could potentially strip the threads in the plastic.

Will this fit a Sony a7i or a7sii? You wouldn't be able to use the camera screen obviously. But outside of that would everything function correctly?

Why the warning? Would it matter if the contacts have different polarity if we switch the cable to face the other way? What would it do?

Will cineback also work with the SmallRig "Rhinoceros" Cage 3710 for the a7IV? Its also amazing to see during the whole video of this version of cineback, the XLR module and the FX30 cineback how much thought has been into every detail of the models. Worth every penny!

I'm new to rigging out camera's and i could really use some help. I have the FX30, Sony ECM-B1M shotgun mic and the Sigma 18-50mm. I want to add a monitor and a battery and i have no clue how to do it. Any other recommended accesoires for my setup are also welcome. If its possible i would like to keeo it budget friendly

09:26 - It seems like the Tilta Cooling Fan cannot be installed on the Sony a7S III camera. I bought it thinking it would fit all a7 series cameras, but it is too big and cannot be attached near the monitor.

The Tilta Cooling Fan has a width of 77mm, while the monitor size of the a7S III is 74mm. This 3mm difference prevents it from fitting properly.

The Ulanzi cooling fan you recommended also can't be installed properly on the a7S III because the USB-C cable cannot be connected due to interference with the cineback frame. Could you suggest a cooling fan that fits the a7S III? If possible, could you also show how it should be installed?

IF you're reading this, what if you rehouse the xlr handle module to go to the back of the camera? I tried opening it up myself but not a pro in 3d printing and engineering but found out all the internal components have a size that are actually able to fit in the back without blocking any buttons. by flipping the screen out it could reveal the xlr controllers and xlr on the other side.

Complicated and completely unnecessary. The XLR connectors would still be up top and by rehousing it into the cineback, you'd wind up with useless knobs and switches on handle. 👎🏽

thank you Caleb for still sticking with smallrig cage, unlike other company you gotta buy an enpensive cage just to work with their system. Not sure if they even gave you a proper credit or just ripped off your idea.
