I am back with this helloween-cg-paper-moturial-episode. Its all I find out while I do this little test ( • Cinema 4D / paper fol... ).
(52 minutes english)
- paper like C4D material
- prepare / modeling a soon to be foldet 3D model
- the "magic" folding itself =)
- how U can give simple non interpolated animations more dynamik touch

Wow this effect is really good!! We are trying something like this to implement in a game. But we are using 3D Studio Max. Is there anyone who knows how to achieve something like this in 3ds max? I tried using bend modifiers but its not helping much!

Hi Kay, You need to use "Subsurface scattering" instead of "Backlight" effect to get a thickness on your shape. TEXTURE = Luminance / Effects / Subsurface scattering / ... Then you need to reduce the path length to 01(in the Shader option) thx for your really cool tuts!

was that ment to be 0.1 path length. I did it 1 and it still looked very waxy. BTW if you want reduce your render times use kays back light method.

Hey Kay, ich finde dein Video klasse! Bei mit funktioniert auch soweit alles, außer das ich die Animation nicht umkehren kann(vom gefalteten Papier Auto) obwohl ich wie du auch 'Move & Scale auf -1 gesetzt habe funktioniert es nicht :( Was mache ich falsch? DANKE für deine Mühe!

Nice tutorial, only thing what I've noticed, that you are clicking on default camera, when you don't want use set-up camera. Do you know about small square button for activating button next to camera in layers, right. If you click on already active camera it will deactivate it and use free perspective camera. It's much more faster. And it's not gonna reset your camera to the middle. Cheers, keep going !

Can anyone help? When I apply the cloth tag onto a sphere, the sphere acts like it is a soft body and does not collapse flat onto itself. I have no idea how to fix this.

Is zwar schon ein halbes Jahr her, aber wieder was beim Herrn Tennemann dazugelernt... :D Was mich allerdings wundert ist, dass du beim PLA-Modellieren den Pivot verschiebst, anstatt die viel einfacher zu handhabende Modellier-Achse zu verwenden?! Oder gibt's dafür einen bestimmten Grund?

Hi, in my case, (after pressed cappucino 'start realtime' button) i have to click and hold the left mouse button on the screen, outside the cappucino panel,until the animation ends. Hope this helps..

hola..espero entiendas en español. Baje el proyecto que pones en la descripcion y al abrirlo y renderizarlo solo aparecen dos cuadritos amarillos y cuando yo renderizo en mi computadora siempre salen 8.....el archivo que dejaste debe de ser siempre asi con dos?..es lento asi no? GRACIAS!!

also ich finde deine arbeit echt klasse... aber die tutorials verdammt langweilig da hier echt zu viel geredet wird und alles enorm in die länge gezogen wird... tut mir leid für die art von kritik... ich hab mir den file mal gezogen und mir das mal näher an zu schauen und mich gleich davon gezogen weil die renderzeit enorm hoch ist für nur ein bild... ich nutz kein schwachen rechner würd aber dennoch gern mal so eine papier szene aus probieren aber nicht gleich 5 tage dran rendern... gibt es da kein anderen ausweg? gruß aus norwegen!
