And to think this won't be the last Worst Picture award winning political documentary he has to do during this retrospective. Thanks a lot, Mike Lindell...
I saw that. I got the biggest aneurysm I've ever received in my life that day. I've not seen any Dinesh D'Souza films but there's no way they can be worse than Absolute Proof.
NGL I was a bit surprised when I saw that it won worst picture; given that it was a last minute entry and it faced stiff competition from Sia’s insult to Autism known as “Music” and a Fifty Shades rip-off called “365”.
@@chrisscanlan1533 My friends and I found it on Internet Archive. Even then you can tell that parts were edited out because the producers didn't want to get sued.
@@joshuabell7761 I mean the producer of “Absolute Proof” is in the middle of multiple lawsuits for libel (especially by Dominion; who runs many of the electronic voting machines in the country).
Or the person who goes to college for a semester, drops out because it was too hard for them, and then claims it's because the professors "just didn't get me". (Pretty sure this is Tomi Lahren's origin story.)
Mad respect for managing to sit through all that BS for us. Mad respect. All that said, already looking forward to/interested in seeing what you’ll have to say on your The Emoji Movie episode (at the very least I’m hoping you’ll make mention of how Jordan Peele was initially approached with the offer to be the voice of the Poop emoji, and how this offer was enough to make him strongly consider quitting acting and also led directly to him beginning his career as a director).
The original episode was my introduction to this channel. We may disagree on a lot of things, but hopefully we can all agree that Dinesh D'Souza is crazy.
@@gracekim25 For me, it was Christmas with the Kranks. I was searching to see if Doug Walker did a video on it (he hadn't at the time) and I came across Sean's. Been subbed ever since.
History was actually one of my best classes, to the point where I started tutoring others. This just makes me want to pull a Mr. Crocker and give him a big ol' F
All attack on conservatism are admissions of treason and degeneracy. Attacks on conservatives of color are hate crimes by any non-degenerate standard. You are attacking a non-white man for making a documentary critical of a white woman for her well documented reign of terror. Every single thing the right has said about the Clintons has been proven true one way or another and anybody who denies that the right has been proven right about everything is basically enabling war crimes at this point. Conservative bashing is also a sign of grooming. There is no non-political criticism of conservative media non-treasonous criticism of conservative media because all opposite of conservatism is controlled opposition. Period.
It's like every time people say this, they're telling everyone they don't know what "political" means. This entire thing was political. It's a review of a movie about politics. What the hell are you talking about?
I appreciate that you do the work to make a review of a terrible movie entertaining. I wouldn't even have been able to finish watching this one. One caveat. A friend, who was abused as a child by her mother, told me that Faye Dunaway's screaming in Mommy Dearest was a very good depiction of how her mother screamed at her. It was terrifying. Since I have read of interrogators in police states screaming at suspects, I am willing to accept that a Nazi interrogator used that tactic as exactly the actor played it.
@@msganymede18 oh, yes, how dare a man of color make a documentary criticizing a white woman who is complicit in murder, and whose husband actually passed a law discriminating against homosexuals in the military while cheating on her with woman after woman after woman.
Well, the good news is no more second looks. All that's left are Worst Picture winners he hasn't done a Cinematic Excrement on. They are, as of right now: - The Emoji Movie - Holmes and Watson - Cats - Absolute Proof - Diana the Musical - Blonde
@@kingamoeboid3887 Copied and Pasted from the Razzies' own website: "Another “biopic,” the misogynistic, salacious and fallacious Blonde, which shamelessly exploits the memory of the late Marilyn Monroe, was named as both Worst Picture and Worst Screenplay (written by the film’s director Andrew Dominik.)" Blonde was also nominated for Worst Remake/Ripoff/Sequel, Worst Supporting Actor (Xavier Samuel and Evan Williams), Worst Director (Andrew Dominik), Worst Screenplay (Dominik again, and Joyce Carol Oates who wrote the "bio-novel"), and 2 for Worst Screen Couple (Both Real Life Characters in the Fallacious White House Bedroom Scene and Andrew Dominik & His Issues with Women)
Except that they actually were, and this video is nothing but a giant act of projection, gaslighting, and DARVO bullshit, putting words into the mouths of conservatives of color to defend a white woman with a long history of criminal behavior including murder and war crimes. Repeat after me: national Socialism is Socialism. National Socialists increased state power over the private sector. They allied with the Soviet Union. Dr. Mengele even perform sex changes. They were woke by any credible modern definition of that word. Thank you for admitting that shitlibs are still enablers of yt supremacy and yt privilege just like they always have been. National Socialism is Socialism. Denying that irrefutable fact does not make it any less of a fact. My grandmother’s parents were Polish Jews, and if they had stayed in Poland, they would have been either killed by national socialist or international socialists. National Socialism is Socialism. The Molotov Ribbentrop pact was, and is the purest form of Socialism that ever was or ever will be. National Socialism is Socialism.
It's especially bad that both of these movies were produced by Academy Award winner Gerald Molen, who produced Speilberg's best movies in the 90s (the first two Jurassic Park movies and Schindler's List).
One of the things that frustrates me the most about people like Dinesh D'Souza is that they try to portray anyone who's not on the far right as a democrat by default. Any time I openly criticized a past republican president around a republican, they always come back with "Oh yeah!? Well look at this thing over here that [insert democratic president's name here] did!" it's like they're incapable of grasping the concept of a US citizen being neither a democrat nor a republican.
On my very first day of my intro political science course, when the professor was talking about election security in my home state of Arizona, some idiot interrupted the lecture to rant about how the election was stolen and he cited exactly one source in his entirely incorrect rant; Dinesh D'Souza. The amount of reach he has is very disturbing despite being incorrect about nearly everything.
I do think that the 2016 election was stolen. By Russia. And we ideally would treat all Republican electoral victories as illegitimate because of the Electoral College and voter suppression. Andrew Gillum is the rightful governor of Florida as well and Stacey Abrams is the rightful governor of Georgia.
The fact that they didn’t give any Razzie nominations for Norm of the North and then gave a win to The Emoji Movie is so ridiculous. Speaking of, can’t wait for that.
And the funny thing is, while The Emoji Movie is the first (and so far only) animated film to win Worst Picture, it's not the first animated movie to any award at the Razzies, that honor goes the film adaptation of Thumbelina winning Worst Original Song for "Marry the Mole"
@AT Productions that's debatable since prior to starting this hellish project to review every Razzie winner for Worst Picture, he did review two films that should've been nominated the same year The Emoji Movie won, "The Book of Henry" and "The Snowman", the latter of which should've been the real winner
@@erichfiedler1481 There was even Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return which won Worst Supporting Actor, though despite that film being awful, especially when you look into it's crazy production history, I don't think it was deserving.
OMG! I laughed so hard and you are so right ( right meaning correct) I may or may not recover from this. If I don't I won't have to vote again. Thank you.🤣
@@julioagua He accused Allison Pregler aka Obscurus Lupa of swatting his house without any evidence, and also dismissed all of the "Change the Channel" controversy as "not real problems".
Sure, the Razzies made the right choice naming a D'Souza film the worst of the year, but they still fucked up by not nominating Paul Feig as worst director or Melissa McCarthy worst actress... That, and Norm of the North getting snubbed.
10:45 Oh boy, the Nazis were socialists argument. I've seen a lot of right wingers bring that up recently and it gives me a headache every time I hear it. I always say 'if they were socialists, why did they put actual socialists and trade unionists in concentration camps?'.
Their argument is they didn't want the competition, the same way that the USSR purged the "Old Bolsheviks" and anarchists and other socialists not aligned with the government. nonetheless I think it's a shit argument
@@samuelvimes5770 Either way, it is important to purge competition if you're concerned about keeping power. It's what every successful socialist society has done.
I think the reason of one of the contradictions, like the Ernst Rohm arrest is that D'Souza wanted to recreate the scene from Hitler Rise of Evil miniseries from twenty years ago, that is a very good miniseries, with a few historical errors, but of course, they weren't the ones that made Apocalypse WWII, for example there weren't many differences between Hindenburg and Hitler, Hindenburg was a reactionary monarchist, and Hitler, well, was antisemitic nationalist, it funny because Hindenburg ones says that he would never would give the post of Chancellor to Hitler because he was so bigot, historically not in the miniseries, when Hindenburg and Lundendorff did an inspection of troops with Jewish background in search of some "traitor".
This is one of the worst documentaries ever made. Not only does Dinesh D'zousa have one of the biggest egos on the planet, but his filmmaking is amateurish, he can't stay on a topic to save his life, and his belief that nobody knows about the "terrible secret" that they teach in middle school history is ludicrous. The Razzies may have some L picks, but they were right on the money with this garbage.
There are problems with this movie that should never apply to something that calls itself a documentary. It's shot horribly, it's acted horribly, it's written horribly and it's directed horribly.
And each film he makes is worse than the last, this is especially true for his latest grift "2000 Mules", which was made to con people into thinking that Joe Biden stole the 2020 election, and had been easily debunked by pretty much everyone with a working brain, when even Fox won't touch that crap, you know it's bad
My favorite gotcha for Republicans saying they were the party that ended slavery is asking 1) if they think that was the party's greatest accomplishment, and if yes 2) if they admit that the party did its best work when they had progressive policies. They short circuit every time.
Oh lord. D'Souza is basically an evil Neil Breen, without Breens charisma. And considering Neil has the charisma of a wad of tape, that's quite an achievement.
Smeghead I have always like your reviews and I respect the fact that you are willing to spend a good part of your time reviewing mediocre, bad and Terrible movies so we don't have to go through that torture of watching it
I said this in the comment section of your other video about this movie, but high school education history is not even among state lines, and most Southern red states don’t teach anything about the history of the political parties; I, a denizen of Mississippi from birth, was only able to find out about the demographic shift from Spielberg’s “Lincoln.” Before that, the most I got was a brief acknowledgement of it from my social studies teacher in 9th grade.
I learned nothing from that movie I didn’t already learn from Disneyland and having played Honest Abe in a school project for the third grade. I drew my beard on with a Crayola marker.
It's a good thing this movie is incompetently made, otherwise its "victory" would come off as very suspicious (kind of like the ones Donny and Rudy got in 2018 and 2020). Also next month this series is finally coming full circle. The end is in sight.
Not started it yet but, I was kind of hoping you'd tackle one of his other political films instead (Death of a Nation or 2000 Mules for instance). EDIT: Ok, I'm 6 and a half minutes into it now. I think this video should have just been called 'Dinesh D'Souza' or 'Dinesh D'Souza Films'.
Here is one of those “actually” moments. The Notzi party did not model their racism after the US. They were going too, but it was even too racist for them. That is why they said you were Jewish if you had a Jewish grandparent vs the US “one drop rule”.
what US "one drop rule"? I just read Wiki's One Drop Rule entry and it's quite clear that One Drop Rule laws were from southern state legislatures. Various state Jim Crow laws got a pass from US Supreme Court with the Plessy vs Ferguson decision that upheld 'separate but equal' treatment of races found in those states. Likewise I'm pretty sure National Socialists in Germany were obsessed with blood purity and did believe ANY Jewish blood was pollution.
For your next review, there will be some disagreements, making it the reason you made the switch to Razzie Reviews. Yet, I can't seem to ❤🎉😢🎉😅😊 find that crap emoji!
Easter is coming up: How would you like to do an special Easter episode of Cinematic Excrement and be the first RU-vid critic EVER to review the worst Easter movie of all time?.....................Baby Looney Tunes: An Eggs-trodary Adventure.
Oh, believe me, I have no intention on watching any of his films, the whole political thingy is boring to me, but don't mind watching people like you Riff on it. 😉😂🤣 Well, Sean, getting closer to caught up here, and next episode, I remember thinking how dumb of an idea, spoiler, a movie about Emojis was when I heard about it, so best of luck, even if I doubt it would be as hard to get through as this was.
Actually more and less, Russia is still occupying the country, but China reached a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine of twelve points, maybe Russia would get Crimea back and the U. S. would lost influence over the region.
Gee, I wonder why Dinesh doesn’t bring up that contradiction regarding Soros. Could it be because talking about that would draw attention to other rich people who do whatever they can to avoid regulations? All of whom aren’t solely aligned to one party? Nah, that’s crazy talk. Also, don’t celebrate just yet, Smeghead. Absolute Proof won in 2020. And Mike Lindell could give Dinesh a run for his money.
I may have some criticisms for Antifa (the ones who go around destroying property and invoking Godwin's law on anybody)...but even I know Dinesh's argument against them (including the man who basically STARTED Antifa) is complete _bull._ How do people take this man seriously is beyond me.
I still can't believe the Razzies didn't even nominate Dinesh D'Souza's latest grift, one that caused actual real harm, I'm talking about "2000 Mules". Say Sean, once you finish with your Razzie project (Based on how few years you have left to cover, it'll probably be done before 2023 is over), you think you can cover 2000 mules from your end?
D'Souza said he was honored to have been nominated and thought the Razzies were being petty about Trump's election win. Probably for the best that he got no attention from them for 2000 Mules since that's exactly what he wants. Besides, we have another political documentary coming up in a few episodes, so we can just wait for that.
@@gracekim25Given the political climate right now...let people find reassurance where they can. Even if most people are indeed supportive, that doesn't necessarily mean the political class or news media are supportive.
I guess you didn't wanna review Death of a Nation, which was released in 2018 and also directed by D'Souza. Oddly enough, Michael Moore also released Fahrenheit 11/9, which was similar to Fahrenheit 9/11, except the former was about George W. Bush and the latter about Donald Trump. UPDATE: I made this comment before watching the whole video, or rather just listen to it, so I see you did review Death of a Nation. Did anyone notice that the title is a parody of The Birth of a Nation, which Woodrow Wilson screened at the White House, the first time a president has done so, and it's still remembered (rightly) for being one of, if not THE, most racist films of all time, next to Song of the South and Jud Suss. When I first noticed this, I shook my head in shame because I didn't know if D'Souza was oblivious or ignornant. Fight with me if you don't know the difference.
One thing that really irritates me when it comes to political matter is that most everyone engages in a very one sided point of view, rather than have a thorough mindset to closely look at the big picture. And if you disagree with anything on any side of the political (or religious) spectrum, then you’re automatically seen as their mortal enemy. Truth be told, I respect everyone’s points of views, so long as they learn to respect naysayers who aren’t trying to cause trouble. Of course, all sides have their toxicities. Now while I’m no fan of Dinesh De Souza, I don’t see chumps like Michael Moore as a beacon of truth. Both of them seek to win the minds of those within their ideology by pushing their one sided narratives, thus leading to distorted info & sensationalism to attract their target audiences. And it’s not just the mainstream battle of the left vs the right… even independent sources are known to push similar narratives for gaining followers. Bottom line, people care more about what they want to hear rather than know the absolute truth.
Sorry no, you don't get to give grifting liars like De Souza a free because Michael Moore wasn't 100% truthful. And at least Michael Moore was TRYING to make some people's lives a bit better. Is De Souza doing that?
@@Jayfive276 OP didn't do that, in fact. Good intentions don't make a one-sided argument better, when you can have a more nuanced, more factual take with even better intentions.
@@fermintenava5911 of course, Jayfive276 ain’t gonna listen. He’s obviously butthurt, because facts hurt his sensitive feelings. And funny thing… I don’t see my reply to his comment anymore. I think he either falsely reported it, or blocked me. 😄
@@Jayfive276 DeSouza is trying to make the lives of the White Race better. Why shouldn't a white man vote Republican? Not that I support Republicans, quite the opposite. I am against this entire settler colony altogether.
