"Happy Holidays, everyone!" And all the Kirk Cameron fans' heads just exploded.

He actually became a “Christian” because of his wife. He was 17 and she was like 23 when they started dating. I personally think he just wanted to get laid and got caught up in the born again thing. Then I guess his family saw the money in it and they all converted too.

My favorite thing about this is that non-religious christmas movies are more about love and compassion then this movie is. Even Hallmark Christmas Specials get that much right!

VeggieTales had better Christmas specials than Kirk Cameron could ever make.

I have a former high-school classmate who is an actress who was in a project with Kirk Cameron and she said he was such an arrogant dick about everything.

I can walk into a store and buy Christmas decorations and hear Christmas music on the radio in September. But sure, there's totally a "war on Christmas." 🙄

Veggie Tales had a Christmas Special called "The Toy Who Saved Christmas" which was explicitly about how commercialization and greed have had an insidious and destructive effect on Christmas. Now let's look at Saving Christmas and : do I even need to bloody explain what Veggie Tales did right and what Mr. Kirk Cameron did wrong? I hope I don't! I also wish a Happy New Year to any who read this. Also, Sean, Mr. Cinematic Excrement, I love your work, and I hope you had a Merry Christmas, if only to compensate for the pain of watching Surviving Christmas again.

Brilliant. Saw the Monty Python joke coming a mile away but still laughed loud enough to wake my girlfriend. Well done.

This film is the living definition of ironic. Cameron set out to create this work of art that glorifies his faith and instead created a monstrosity that is nothing but comedy gold for his opponents. He tackled the most important subject in his life, something he has spent years pursuing, and screwed it up so badly that as long as there is video streaming he will be held up to ridicule until finally people forget completely about it.

Kirk's sister Candace (married to a Russian) is quite a piece of work as well.

Didn’t know that Cameron supports Drumpf, but given his beliefs and his lack of logic and critical thinking skills, suddenly that makes a Hell of a lot of sense. I’d call him a sheep, but that’s an insult to actual sheep everywhere.

If Christians get one thing right it's The fact that they'll be the first to tell you the true meaning of Christmas. And Kirk Cameron shat all over that.

I was gonna have me and my family riff on this movie in 2018. Circumstances prevented that from happening though. It would've been so fun watch this and laughing at how ridiculous it was. If only 😔

Kirk seems to be incapable of realizing the following things. Not everyone had good experiences on Xmas Not everyone has family or friends to spend Xmas with We are a circular society now and lots of people have religions that don’t celebrate Xmas, such as Judaism or Islamism If people ask you to keep the volume low on Xmas, it’s because they’re trying to sleep and he’s probably being too loud Some people just don’t like Xmas because of how much of a corporate holiday it has become. Too much hot chocolate is bad for you!

Nice to see you look at this film again. As someone who also loves Christmas, even I think this film is too much. I still love how you still try to acknowledge that Madea Christmas doesn't exist. It is nice to see that you will be talking about it next though.

Hopefully,SAVING CHRISTMAS will be a future MST3K episode.

Also to add; United Passions, aka The FIFA movie (talk about timing), should have made a brief mention at the Razzies not only how big of a bomb it was, but also dealing with the corruption charges in 2015. Yet, The Razzies got this one right, knowing how big of a mess this movie was.

This is one of my top-five favourite RU-vid channels and whenever a new video drops, I'm onto it as soon as I can. The videos are well made, the script is always funny and the presentation is uniformly top-notch (even in the very earliest videos, I could see the potential behind the endearing ropiness). This channel should be far bigger than it is because it deserves a much wider audience. Anyway, Merry Christmas, Mr Smeghead. Keep up the very good work and thanks for another entertaining and informative episode.

I think Kirk and Darren going way off-script works if you look at it as Kirk and Christian having gotten drunk at the party. If Christian was sober, he would not have stayed in the garage. The two being drunk is the only way to make it make any sense.

A Charlie Brown Christmas had a better explanation for the commercialism of Christmas and re-shifting the focus back to Jesus than this movie.
