I've been waiting for this episode of Cinematic Excrement for a few years. Finally, it has been released.

In fairness, I should point out that the Razzies weren't really cheating by nomination Absolute Proof and Music, despite coming out in 2021, as they were merely following the Oscars: Indeed, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic & the delay of the ceremony, the Academy changed their deadline that year from from December 31, 2020 to February 28, 2021. And as the Razzies billed themselves as the anti-Oscars of sorts, they played along by the new rules as well. Notably, with the Academy also allowing for streaming films at that year's Oscars with looser guidelines, this Razzies also began to allow streaming films this year, the Razzies followed suit there as well (hence Absolute Proof & 365 Days getting nominated), and have actually kept allowing streaming films since then, although they don't require any sort of theatrical release as well.

This... urgh... "docu-movie" is essentially a 2-hour version of the exceprts from J. Jonah Jameson's podcast that occasionally pop up in the Insomniac Spider-Man games. The difference is that those excerpts are only a few seconds long and are actually entertaining.

I've seen some gross "romance" stories where the relationship is basically Stockholm Syndrome, but geez. I'm glad I never heard of 365 Days before. I suppose you'd have to be that sick to make a movie worse than Music. (Watch the Musical Hell review if you want to find out how vomit-inducing that movie was.)

Just when I thought there couldn't be anything worse than Music - which SOOOOOO offended people with autism like me on the DEEPEST LEVEL IMAGINABLE and Sia could ROT IN HELL for all I care!!! - apparently I was proven wrong, and fortunately the Smeghead comes to the rescue to make the experience far more entertaining, undeniably at the cost of his own sanity, which remains at least half if not wholly intact.

1:34 I've been saying that ever since looked up the list of nominees that year, it was such an obvious choice, critics hated it, fans of the books hated it, newcomers hated it, general movie fans hated it, but yet not a single nomination, and for those who said that maybe Disney payed off the razzies voters not to nominate it, A - you really assume Disney would gave away their money for something? B - One of the 2022 worst picture nominees was the live-action Disney Pinocchio movie, clearly the razzies had no issue nominating movies from that company.

Yeah, Lindell is not a conman (At least not in the traditional definition of the word). He's a true believer and he 100% fully and wholly believes every single thing he's said. His interview with Jimmy Kimmel was hilarious to watch but it left it pretty clear that he firmly believes what he says. If anything, I can't help but feel slightly bad for the guy. His obsession with the orange lardo has ruined him. Financially, politically, and socially. And he's still going.

You want to make 365 Days into an interesting story? Make the woman a serial killer. The kidnapper’s henchmen start disappearing, and it slowly dawns on him that *she* is the dangerous one.

My aunt- whom I love dearly despite the fact that she’s a crazy Trumpster- was one of those who believed the election was rigged, and my question to her was always, “If the Democrats rigged the election, don’t you think they would have made sure they had an overwhelming majority in both chambers? Don’t you think McConnell and Graham would have been the first people they’d make sure weren’t re-elected? And don’t you think they wouldn’t have left control of the Senate hanging by a thread and dependent upon two races in a historically red state?” I doubt I actually got through to her, but she did (eventually) stop, at least publicly, claiming the election was rigged. Now she’s all about how Trump is innocent and he’s so much better than Biden. Eventually, it gets to a point where I have to say, “Whatever helps you sleep at night.”

I really admire your commitment, a lot of people on youtube tend to start a series and don't finish it because they got sick of it or just bored and wanted to do something else, but not you, you started something and want to see it to the end, and in a good/professional way which is why I really enjoy your reviews. Even though it's not on the Worst Picture Project, I think you should take a look at Kangaroo Jack and not just because it's a terrible movie. But also, the behind-the-scenes info is fascinating. They tried to hard to make a dark comedy into a family-friendly movie and the end result has such tonal dissonance. You have a movie that's too kiddie for adults, but also too adult for kids.

Odd question here Sean but, out of ALL the movies you have seen that won Worst Picture, which includes ones from 1980 to present day, which one would you say was the worst? The one that has no redeeming qualities, and can't even be enjoyed in a so bad it's good way like The Room or Sharknado.

I remember a coworker described 365 days as the best thing ever and "so romantic!". WTF?? what's wrong with people?!!!. 50 shades was bad enough but the concept of 365 days is even more insane. My guess is it's "romantic" only because it's a rich good looking guy that does it, so that fact somehow blocks the rest of the horrible idea in some people's brains and the only part they register is "the girl got the good looking guy" and they go "awww".

The Golden Raspberry's Awards had so many other movies that came out in 2020 they could have put on here instead of "Absolute Proof"and "Music". "Assassin 33 A.D.", "Antebellum", "Faith Under Fire", "John Henry", "The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson", "Love, Wedding, Repeat", and "Bobbleheads : The Movie".

I have never heard of this so called "movie". All the ither nominees I've heard of. Absolute Proof, had absolutely no clue it existed.

As someone who has not seen Absolute Proof and doesn't plan to, I agree that it doesn't really qualify as a movie. I think the Razzies picked it for the same reason Bush and his cronies won in 2004 and Trump and Kellyanne Conway won in 2018. Taking potshots at the Republican Party except for the fact that this awards show is supposed to be about making fun of bad movies. As you said in your 2nd Look of Catwoman, if you hijack your own awards show for this reason, then they don't mean anything, not that they ever meant anything at all.

I’ve been asking for a Cinematic Excrement episode on 365 Days once this Razzie series is over, it really is amazing how something that abhorrent can ever be made. And the hilarious thing about it is any YT vid trashing the movie is full of comments from Polish people apologising for its existence 😂 And speaking as an autistic person, I do agree that it is somehow worse than Music, which is a movie that legit has a scene involving a restraining technique that has killed autistic people irl

You can't romantise kidnapping. To me, it stirs memories of reading about how the Ottomans abducted young women and girls (training some from infanthood) to be harem slaves. And some people STILL think it is romantic. And even more people say that because the women abducted for the harems were from working class and in poor areas of their countries, when they were abducted they were waited on hand and foot, some even becoming favourite wives or Sultanas. While some could become influential, if you tried romantising the Atlantic slave trade with the same premise, you'd be kicked to the curb before you could say 'Emancipation Proclamation'.
