I betcha if Roger Ebert were still around he'd have this to say about the movie: "I hated this movie. Hated, hated, hated, hated, hated this movie. Hated it. Hated every simpering stupid vacant audience-insulting moment of it. Hated the sensibility that thought anyone would like it. Hated the implied insult to the audience by its belief that anyone would be entertained by it." (North Review 1994)

Dear god, this makes Chicken Little look like Zootopia.

I'm surprised Schneider never got used to taking criticism well as it has to be all he has ever heard.

Rob Schneider is one of the few actors who makes Adam Sandler look great by comparison.

Actually, Sean, this movie *was* meant to be a direct-to-DVD possibly sold only in Walmart stores and not a theatrical release. However, some "genius" from the studios, and possibly Rob Schneider himself, (I wouldn't put anything past him), got the "brilliant" idea that Norm of the North should be show. In movie theaters across the nation. And we all know how well that went.

This movie was originally intended to be a direct-to-DVD movie. It really shows.

I think the "leave poetry to the panda bears" is meant to be a gag about Chinese poets and philosophers like Confucius. In which case, it would be slightly clever if the target audience knew what they were referring to. The eight year olds watching this film (all three of them) probably never heard the name Confucius.

Let the record show that I indeed saw Kubo and the two strings and it was easily one of the most beautiful animated/stop motion movies I've ever viewed

You know, Sean, you aren't the only one who was majorly disappointed that Koba and the Two Strings didn't get the recognition nor the money that it deserved. It was so beautifully crafted and most of it was done with practical effects. If you haven't seen it yet... GO SEE IT! (On a side note: Personally, I think it's better than Zootopia and The Lego Movie)

I hate this movie with a PASSION. I did a full review of it back in June, and it still ticks me off when I even think of Norm Of The North. It honestly is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

I mean, I don't know what started the King controversy, but knowing him in the past, doesn't mean you won't forget his teachings and give in to anger.

By a strange coincidence, this review was published around the time that my university hosted "Polar Week", which was mainly devoted to studies about the Arctic. Not that the writers of the film would have gone there and got new possibly new ideas for the plot. Very good review.

Of the movies I've seen Schneider in,two of which....*Demolition Man* and the 1996 live-action *Pinocchio*...he didn't appear long enough to do any real damage...such was NOT the case with *Judge Dredd*,which was already lacking.

Easily the worst movie of 2016. I hate it even more than Gods of Egypt, Independence Day: Resurgence, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ice Age: Collision Course, The 5th Wave, and Ghostbusters (yes, I hated that movie. And no I'm not sexist, I just find it to be a bad film) And this manages to be _worse_ than ALL of these movies. I'm surprised this didn't have a 0% (like it SHOULD have been when it first came out)

Norm of the North spawned three straight-to-DVD sequels. Having a sequiel be straight-to-DVD is a telltale sign that your movie is a failure.

About the razzies, despite having six nominations per category instead of five, there were just as many movies nominated this year as there were last year. Also, I'm guessing the next episode will be Suicide Squad? or Max Steel?

"Arctic" includes certain parts of Canada and Russia, possibly Denmark and Norway, where people DO live. It is not a lawless or unclaimed area where a bad developer can just come and start building. Not even in "international waters". Since everybody speaks English, I am going to assume this is taking place in CANADA. Time for legal action, eh?

I think that commercial director just worked with Steven Seagal a few times. And just let Kubo go, Smeghead. It's not worth it. Though I appreciate you not calling us "fucking morons" for not seeing it, unlike RebelTaxi.

Rob Schneider should have gotten worst actor. Say what you will about BvS, but Ben Affleck wasn't even an honorable mention for my list of complaints with it.

Here's a funny story: My little sister was curious about this movie. I told her that the movie got scathing reviews and that the plot sounded stupid. She did not listen to me. Then about a minute in, she turned it off because she thought the animation was that awful.
