you should react to the "terror of darkshore" cinematic its not one of these high rez cinematics, it uses in game chracter models, but its really amazing and shows of the ferocity of the nightelves
Varok Saurfang, the orc, was never any leader (except being the racial leader for the orcs during the Legion expansion) and he has also overseen different campaigns against other evils (like the Northrend campaign during the Wrath of the Lich King expansion), but he's been an adviser for the old warchief Thrall and basically been his support. Saurfang does have a lot of leader qualities and is kinda expected to be the next warchief (since the plot does point us to overthrow Sylvanas at some point, clearly showing in this cinematic as well. At least we will soon be able to pick a side. Team Sylvanas or Team Saurfang) Some does call Saurfang a traitor though, because he's against Sylvanas and is "working with the Alliance". And Sylvanas has a lot of fan support (despite her being crazy). Blizzard have already said they wouldn't go killing her off. So its exciting to see where this story goes now. This cinematic is very much up to date is it can be right now. We should see more happening in patch 8.1 and in 2019
Saurfang never really controlled the Horde, but was a general in maaaany battles. At the night before it started he almost saught the death he felt he deserved. Orcs are honor bound, so to them a glorious death is the honorable way to go.
If you want some context to saurfang: The horde startet out with the orcs, but the orcs were basically driven insanely bloodthirsty by demon blood they drank as a last ditch survival effort. Saurfang was already with the horde back then and today is haunted by what he has done (since the orcs were liberated from their demonic bloodthirst) ever since saurfang has been one of the greatest warriors and commanders of the horde, always true to his ideals "honor, no matter how dire the battle, never forsake it." is his best known quote. So basically he has fought every war the horde was involved with, has mad respect within the alliance for commanding some of their forces in the past (when they teamed up to defeat a mad old god to cut a very long story short) and has stayed humble throughout. When the horde and the alliance fought against the lich king (the guy who you were talking about killing and resurrecting sylvanas) he lost his only son to the lich king who turned him evil. After his brainwashed, zombie version was defeated saurfang reclaimed his body to give him a proper burial (this is what you see in the old soldier cinematic - the flashback scenes in a cold landscape where he removed his son's necklace)
The opening of this scenario is so sad, the whole dock is filled with corpses in body bags, truly heart wrenching, Anduin is despondent, his worgen friend tries to console him, what really impressed me was how Anduin enters the cell to talk to Saurfang and locks the door behind him, virtually placing his life in the hands of saurfang, that took guts! I am so proud of our young king, given the chance, he will be a great king!
WoW has a lot of catchup mechanics that don't let the new players stay behind of the competition(IF you care about the competitive aspect). It also gives new players a free level 110 character so that they can experience the newest expansion without having to play through old content
Orc Man is named Saurfang pronounced Sour-fang, Boy in shining armor is named Anduin Wrynn the new king of the humans his father was killed in the games last DLC, And purple lady is named Sylvanas pronounced Syl (as in Sylvia) Von-as and she is the leader of the Horde. And as these cinematics show in the future the Orc will most likely become the leader of the horde after killing her.
For Sylvanas, the ends justify the means. To her it is not how you win, but the fact that you win. She is also struggling with the fact that her people, The Forsaken or undeads if you will, cannot reproduce. So for every battle they fight, their numbers dwindle. But war is also a way to get more soldiers, if you are willing to reanimate the dead. She experienced death more than once after she became a banshee, and she does not want that fate upon her people. So while doing quite evil deeds, to her people she is doing everything to keep them alive. Which is ironic for a people already dead.
Read the new book....her people don't want to make more undead because the curse of undeath promises that when you do die that you go to damnation. Her people want "FREEDOM".....freedom and free will that she lied about. She kill the desolate council because they wanted the freedom to choose, now you got a lot forsaken who are too scared to speak up against her

Sylvanas has the potential to become the agent of sargeras, and im also excited when i watch the mission to search saurfang after he escape the prison, it was interesting to be honest...
Saurfang. That's my Warchief, don't matter who has the title, I'd follow him into battle anytime, anywhere. It's important to note, what just unfolded in that scene. Saurfang is probably the greatest warrior, and most capable commander the Horde has ever had. He's also never been defeated tactically, or in single combat...to my knowledge, and was just let loose. Auduin, need to make sure, which is why he had the conversation. If he had been wrong, and he let him go, that would be the end of the Alliance. In the current time line, they are loosing. However the Nightelves are about to be on the attack, and they are a problem when they're pissed. But it does show just how desperate the Alliance king has become. He needs Saurfang, and he knows that he is an honorable warrior, that will see things put right, or give his life in the attempt. Imagine if Genghis Khan, Eric the Red, and Napoleon, were all wrapped into one green skinned hulk...well that's Saurfang.
I get that the whole genocide on Teldrassil is bad, but is there honor in helping the enemy to be able to get what you want? I still blame Delaryn Summermoon for Sylvanas burning the tree. If she hadn't provoked Sylvanas, she would've continued with the original plan which was to kill Night Elf leaders and occupy the tree to cut off the alliance from Kalimdor.

You can play WoW free till lvl 20. I recommend at least checking it out. And don't worry about being behind. That's probably the stupidest reason not to jump in. There are so many catch up mechanics.

Warcraft III: Reforged is coming out next summer. But, if you buy Wow:Battle For Azeroth you can boost one character to level 110 and start with the war rightaway.
React to World of Warcraft Lordaeron confrontation between Sylvanas (the purple girl) and Anduin (the young king). It was straight after Saurfang (the old soldier) was captured. Interesting fact: the elf girl who said that Sylvanas fought against life is now her servant as an undead.
You can get to max lvl in 3 days of dedicated playing or in 5 days of leisure playing In about 10-14 days after max lvl you can get sufficient gear for end game content
Its pretty old now, but you should react to Lords of War WoW cinematics. There are 5 of them and from older expansion, but if you never saw them, you should.
You missed the battle for lorderon cinematics that happened between this, and if you wanted toknow what happened before the new war and why is Anduin the king now, I suggest Broken shore alliance legion cinematic which you missed, amazing, thanks ☺
I hope it does really well and leads to them doing Reforges for the other games as well. I think enough people still love the RTS series to make that work, and then there are those who would also get to experience it for the first time through a Reforged release, but wouldn't have played it otherwise.
Wait wait wait... Never once Sylvanas was a good person. Yes, she was a protector of the High Elf kingdom, but, she was arrogant and stubborn. When she looked at those poor elves, in her eyes, they where just a bother... When Arthas killed her and arraised her has a banshee, he did that only because she pissed him off with her sarcastic tone. After her death, the all world turned grey. She felt nothing anymore. She was a brainless banshee. But, after a strong spell casted by the demon hunter Illidan on the banshee's master, she regained her own free will. The only thing then she thought about was to kill Arthas, to have her revenge. For that, she used many, many people.... When Arthas died, she wasn't there. She wasn't there for her revenge, for her only reason to stay in this world. So, she tried to suicide.. In fact, she didn't tried, she actualy did it but during he passing, she realise that only darkness was awaiting for her. She got scared, she scream, she cried. When she understand it was her destiny, a walkyr ( some kind of angel ) apears and saved her. Since then, she doesn't care about the world of the living. The only thing she cares about is to survive eternaly because she doesn't want to face this darkness again. A world in grey is better than a world without any color at all. For this purpose, Sylvanas gona kill every single threat to her survival... even if that's mean the end of the world.

Warcraft Reforged is gonna suck. You can already tell from the gameplay videos that are out there on YT. It just doesn't have the same charm as the original WC3 had. Ranging from lore being changed to maps being changed, UI being changed, game mechanics being changed, shittier animations... And the list just goes on and on.
