Lol it's "pound cake" not "skinny cake". I think it's cool you decided to share the cake fail so we could see both. Honestly I would have eaten the first one no problem. The last one came out perfect though and ooh the glaze Yum! Awesome recipe! Thank you!!! 💕
Hey Alexus I’m so glad you uploaded the fail. I have a red velvet recipe I found on RU-vid that taste amazing but every time I bake it it comes out like the the first cake you made. I don’t know how to fix it so could you tell me what I should do with mine? Recipe: 3 cups flour (he did not say wether it should be cake four or AP. Flour) 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature 1/2 cup crisco (butter or plain), room temp 3 cups sugar 6 large eggs 1-1/2 tbs coco powder 1-1/2 tbs vanilla extract ( I filled the 1 tbs up until some vanilla spilled over into the batter then stopped.) 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature 1 tsp white vinegar 2oz red food coloring 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 cup/ 8oz sour cream
Hey lovie!!! Try out my recipe from the recipe you posted it seems a bit heavy for a red velvet cake. It’s sounds more like a pound cake. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9el4Q1p57jU.html
This looks absolutely gorgeous and delicious! Recipe fails have sometimes resulted in the most delicious recipes. But like you said it’s trial and error that we learn. So keep up the delicious work.😋 My mother would tell my brother and I that our father didn’t care if her cakes fell to the oven floor (and some did) he just simply ❤️’d cake. So yeah I would have eaten that supposedly failed cake too.
