the n1 regs of stock gearbox ratios and stock diff gears really hurt at central where there are a couple of places that totally catch it in the dead zone. 2nd gear is right on limiter and 3rd bogs. It is *slightly* faster going back to 2nd but then chance of miss shift and also oil temps which are already high are a factor. I prefer to let it bog in 3rd to help with temps and save synchro/avoid a possible miss shift.
