I have a Sony WM-F73 with a faulty fwd/rev switch that intermittently plays the reverse side whilst playing in FWD. I was thinking that some might consider this a feature rather than a defect. :)
I used to get variable speed with my old ghetto blaster 2 deck with variably pushing the button... Might try and circuit bend it. Sadly it’s unidirectional but 2 tape decks... might try and get it work duophonic.... would be awesome to record two of the same sounds and detune one slightly
thank you for this. do you always take out the min trim pot and just make those connections your new pot? I saw some people operating directly on the motor, without removing the mini-pot. And what k pot do you use? thanks!
If the unit has a trim pot then I would try replacing it first. But not all have a trim pot like that. For larger players I have worked directly on the motor. I actually have another video showing that. I think the pot I used was either 20K or 50K, can't remember.
Hi mate how’re u doing? can you assist me how to get rid of short circuit to ground on my wm-ex622! i’ve checked all the capacitors and couldn’t find any short! also desoldered all the ic chips at a time, without those ic’s it still showing short to ground. Its showing 16 Ohms to ground!😢 (note: i got 1 shorted diode and replaced that, still not solved)
Terra Bull small walkman style player er are tough because lack of space. I recommend starting on with the desktop “tape recorder” style instead. Just check my previous video. I actually have a How To on this very topic.
