Very timely video for me as I’m going to do the same job myself on my own car next week, new struts springs and shocks on the front, new wishbones, droplinks and track rods and finally new springs, shocks on the back. Should keep me busy for a day, or at least I hope it’ll just be one day!
Thanks champ! The best step by step video i have seen on You Tube ...sorry Dell Boy! As a C4 owner i so felt the horror of you overcoming the under-bonnet *engineering* ;( So its replacement then - are there coil assist kits? Brilliant video.
Any chance to get the part number for top strut mount? Mines knocking like a jehowa witness at my doors and its time to replace but not too sure if im looking for the right part :( great vid btw! My c4 is 16 plate gen 2
hi have new KYB shocks and springs to fit, is it easy to see the which way up the springs go, by looking at them, one end has a flatter top wound spring, so would that be to sit the rubber top spring mount to sit inside, thank you for any help, will be able to look when old spring comes of
What would be best set up replacement for Oz country roads corrugated - ours gets a beating but is a plucky little C4 just wish it sealed better against dust ...
I don't know why but most of the cheaper sets like Halford, draper, sealey always seem to come with a 20-22 offset spanner yet most topmount shocker bolts are 21mm.. 😕
@@ORileysAutos I have thought about filing the 20mm end a bit until 21mm, because I don't think I've ever used the 20mm. Would probably void warranty but mmhha only a cheap spanner. Silverline do a single offset spanner with a 21mm end if I can remember.
