New to Translink Metro in 2005 as F/N 2969, this bus was given the nickname ‘The Bus With 9 Lives’ posterior to the bus having received nine new engines in its life with Translink.
Since new, it has seen operations out of all four Metro depots in Northern Ireland (Short Strand, Falls, Newtownabbey & MSC)
In 2022, following withdrawal of the ALX 400s from the Translink Metro fleet, it was decommissioned and stored in MSC for quite a number of months before subsequently being purchased by City Tours Belfast for use on an easy life on sightseeing tours around Belfast.
