@ThisOldSwordBladeReviews I would be happy with a steel framelock. I know it would be a anchor but have, for some reason, always had a fondness for steel framelocke.

Do you think the flipper would prevent the knife from closing if the lock failed insofar as the flipper needs to clear the hand before closing? I purchased the Civivi Incisor 2 because the flipper is so large it can't close with your hand in the blade path. I tried closing it and it simply can't close. I generally do not trust button locks or liner locks however it was the flipper that put me over the top.

Yes, basically the flipper becomes a guard and prevents the blade from fully closing or at least keeps the sharp edge off the fingers!

I can’t help but think a metal backspacer was needed here. Not just to make it more rigid, but to balance that weight. The double standoff build with that big a blade.. it’s more of a show piece then a working hard use knife. Looks like a cold steel but I doubt half as strong. 😮

Feels good in the hand but I tend to agree with regards to the sturdiness in the long run. No not in the same weight class as a cold steel. 🗡️👊🔥

I thought the same! On hand it feels very unbalanced, but I love the looks. I think I'm only going to use it to open packages or in the office, but that is alright to me. I think we all have like 10 knives that are sturdy at this point, so buying one just for the looks is fine everyone in a while, specially for the price.
