"Unfortunately they [the Legion] didn't have what I had..human parents who taught me more than just how to use my abilities" I have to be honest...I think that there's something lacking in Clark's reply..since the Legion wanted to kill Chloe in order to get rid of Brainiac once and for all and if it wasn't for Lana Clark would have agreed with the Legion, it would have been nice to hear Clark saying "and they didn't have someone sensible like you by their side"
I thought so too but after rewatching this episode I changed my mind. Now I think probably the legion _knew_ there’s a way to solve the problem but they just _tested_ because they wanted him to prove himself he _could_ find a way to save millions of people not sacrificing his best friend.
