@Nolo Kobo yeah, he basically had unlimited powers, thanks to the sun. There was literally no limit to what he could do. Around 1950s to early 80s Superman had no weakness and was literally moving planets at will. Lol. So of course to have some sort of storyline they had to give him a weakness. If I were him I'd just keep testing my limits to see where my powers end. Which they don't pretty much. Except for when there's a shitty green rock around. 😂🤣😂🤣

@Nolo Kobo true. It would just get kind of boring. That was the issue back then. The writers ran out of ideas cause Clark could never lose. He barely struggled to win. An invincible Superman quickly becomes a boring Superman. 🤣😂🤣😂

Nah, it was still noticeable back then. But at least it was a step up from unconvincing CGI effects applied on TV shows like Hercules and Xena. At least you could somewhat buy into the effects on Smallville due to how it would fit within the stories.

@@arlwithac9285 hey, I loved watching those shows back in the day. I was a teen, when those shows were on and, I have to admit, didn't really watch the shows for their storylines. My teen-mind was focused on some of the more, ehm, aesthetically eye-pleasing cast members 😁😉 But damn, a lot of those CGI effects applied would have been better off having been done using practical effects.

Superman&Lois is actually pretty good.

Supergirl was good for the first couple seasons but got too much into girl power and sjw after that. Politics even was written into the show at times, just not a good idea for a superhero show. And her powers were so inconsistent. Most impressive feat I remember from that show was her picking up fort Rozz and flying with it, fort Rozz weighed a million tons, basically like picking up a skyscraper. But it took every bit of strength she had so we saw that was probably her upper limit. Though we also saw her pick up the key to the fortress of solitude and it also weighed that much. She picked it up like it was a gallon of milk, smiling the whole time with basically no effort.

It was about 20 years ago. So they were all in their early 20s then.

Supergirl series did basically the same thing, she struggled a ton trying to stop a missile. She struggled to catch it first and then could barely overpower it once she caught it.

We didn't, every Friday night we sat in front of that TV and watch Smallville. The Superman story told so many angles it's still good. I believe our schedule was Smallville, Supernatural, Quantum Leap; not sure long time ago.

10 seasons is about the limit for most shows. Even if it’s still popular, the actors get tired of doing it and want to pursue other things. Or simply take time off and enjoy the money they’ve made. I think that’s the main reason Iron Man was killed off in avengers endgame. Rdj was tired of making movies and wanted to just chill and count all that marvel money.

At the end he was pretty badass though. He literally pushed back a planet. I think they should have put on the suit and had him fly much sooner though. Sadly it was probably because flying scenes were expensive to film and the show didn’t have the budget to afford them.

Actually the production company and DC made the series contract that they would never put him in the superman suit until the last show of the series. Also Tom Welling contract stated that he refused to wear the suit, i think he was worried about the curse, The strange and oftwn fatal accidents that kept happening to Superman actors.
