I changed the main hab to a 3x1 Daimos all in one and put 2x1 daimos workshop above, top tier reactor and grav drive and then added a Stroud Eklund Viking cockpit and had four of each weapon type, laser, particle and EM Suppressor. It rips through any opponent, especially Bounty Hunters. Cool vid.
I upgraded my Razorleaf to class C too. Then I acquired the Star Eagle. It is now my primary ship. It is larger. I increased my passengers to 6, cargo to 3009, shield to 1194, 30ly Grav Jump, 9 crew max,Mass is 1453, reactor C 34.
I did this today with my Razorleaf. It is a really awesome ship that has tons of power, tons of everything and looks nothing like the Razorleaf anymore. Lol Still a great ship and my first build. So Im happy with it. Yours looks much better.
I went in the other direction. I never really liked the look of the Razorleaf so when I rebuilt mine it became a lot lower, sleeker, and I went with class B components. Going that route let me end up with more reactor power, more jump range, more firepower, more shields, more cargo, and more jump range. But of course it looks nothing like the original ship. (which was one of my primary goals)
I renamed mine to 'space spider from outer space' with that halo-like shield (not the current one you get with the ship, but the flatter one) in the "chest" area like Spiderman's crest :)
Try experimenting with looks and styles to change the ship to keep the same look ive done it with a c class to look similar to the star eagle kept the wing and angled look for appearance and great for boarding just like the star eagle so just try things to see if it works
One thing I recommend is that instead of the CE-49 Missile launcher, I would swap it out with a Atlatl 270C Missile launcher, it does 213 damage instead of the 100 damage yours do, but if you have starship design level 3 you can do the 280C missile launcher which does 377 damage
I kept my Razorleaf as a class A. I mainly upgraded the weapons with a full vanguard loadout, the reactor and grav drives and reworked the aft section to fix the engines. I have a max size C class battleship already so I didn’t need another.
When I upgraded my Razorleaf, my first upgrade was the Deimos Ares bridge. Going to class B, I expanded the habs, stretching the wings while keeping the basic shape. Your option is pretty nice, but I think going longer without also going wider messes with the proportions too much to call it the Razorleaf. Still, for minimal changes, this does fairly well.
I just took a Space Raccoon transformed it into a C class, and added like 5 Electron beam weapons on there. Things die pretty quick before I lose 5% shield.
Dude - I'm giving a Like and Sub just for the tip on how to select multiple parts. That's going to save me hours of time messing about. Plus I'll be doing this on my Star Eagle first and pretty much doing this when I get finally get around to getting the Razorleaf. (Although I am trying to get my Starship design up a few ranks so I can access some even better modules/ weapons/ drives etc)
What I have done is move the top hab forward the loading door to the front cockpit up by 1 slot class c reactor its the same length and still looks like the razorleaf
Great modification, cheap, low skill requirement and good performance on the result. Mine was a little more expensive, for hab modules it has daimos workshop, hope tech living quarters and control room. Putting a 35 power class B reactor, 4x SA-4330 drives, 1900 cargo (400 shielded) and an Aurora 12G on it gives me 29LY with 94 mobility. For weapons of course that leaves me with class B, 3x PB175 and 4x CE-39 plus one dampener, listing 100 particle and 458 for the rockets. I did switch the rear gears for Stroud Accu-Lander 11, which are lighter and more durable instead of doubling up the weak originals, 4 weight instead of 12. And the Stroud are lower down leaving space above them for fuel tanks.
Drop those silly shielded cargo and replace with regular cargo modules to get 4x the cargo space. You don't need shielded cargo to run smuggling ops....just go to the Wolf system and sell the stuff before going to any system you get scanned. It really is as simple as that!
@@8654ZuluFoxtrot better sell in the pirate base, more traders with money. but i dont like visiting special systems for that, with the shielded cargo i just carry them with me and drop em off at some trade company, no extra visit to any additional system.
I just did this yesterday for NG+3. I limited it to 2 of the 2x1 Hab modules like the original, I just did 2 of the all in one berths. I added in a new cockpit to get 8 Crew (Deimos DS40.2), max C reactor, max C grav drive, max C shields. Added 5K storage on the bottom. Added 3 NG-20 landing gears on the bottom near the engines. Changed the engines to 3 SAL-6330s and 2 SAE-5660s. Added one 210 Fuel tank. New ship is 27m long and 13m wide (both of those are x2 as the measurement's are from centerline). 30LY jump, 99 Mobility, 38 Reactor, 4800 Cargo, 8 Crew, 4 Passengers, 98 and 148 and 436 partical beams for the 3 weapons groups, 1600 shield, 130 max speed, 1344 hull, 2806 mass. Those are all build numbers and do not include bonuses. With bonuses: RX 44, Shield 2880,. Total Value: $583066
Starship design skill was easy to master. I did upgrades to my main ship to make it a fighter and built a cargo hauler. After I did that I was able to unlock all levels
ahhh a fellow Particle Beam enjoyer! i think PB's are probably the best weapon system, but for this ship i wanted to go for the same weapons that the original razorleaf had just BIGGER!
u are right in terms of dmg/dps particles are the way. i use 3x 250 obliterators (both beam and turret) and shred everything in max 4-5shots.@@TheWickedFutureTTV
@@James_Bee I would agree with you if I let any of them escape, but that's not what happens, so having a powerful ship and causing fear is the best combination. Batman knows how successful this combination is! haha ha
I actually don't like that they keep going non hostile. I still kill them, but I've got to be much more careful about shooting blues to avoid the wrong ones.
When i try to copy this version, all the parts won't show up... i try it in my outpost and also in deimos starship... my piloting skill is max... I hope someone help me...
I have completely modified the Mantis to class C, nothing is left of the old ship except the name, and the spacers still freak out and warp away yelling "It's the Mantis!".
Ok wow. I was modifying my Razorleaf but I never knew I could move the big sections like that. I might do that bow and see what I can make with Piloting 4 and Ship Design 4.
Alot i made a c class shipp from scratch and its base design shape was star eagle it ended being great and had a similar look and paint to a rangers ship
@reaty05 yeah I updated my Star Eagle. I'm finally done with it. Didn't want to change it too much so I only made it a B instead of a C but it's still nice and I can take on basically anything I've encountered so far.
@reaty05 yup. I used the best B reactor too 39 generation. I added a couple habs where the wing struts were. An Armory and Infirmary to be precise. I took out engineering and put in a living quarters and workshop on the bottom. Upgraded the cargo holds and put in 4 shielded holds on the wings and a 30 LY grav drive. I also put in B grade weapons. And scanner jammer, conduction grid, and comspike.
I upgraded my frontier to C class after messing around with a longsword design. Now I have a ship that has a mix of Deimos and Nova Galactic design language that kick ass with vanguards weapon 😂
I did essentially the same thing, but have WAY more cargo than you. It also requires an extra landing gear, though I did 2 extra for symmetry's sake. You can radically change the Razorleaf and still get the unique dialogue from enemy ships. I know the point was to keep the aesthetic, but just so people know.
Nice one! It's amazing how well the paint scheme ties all parts together. 😎 Btw: I have the Kepler R and that thing is a hot mess! This "containership in space" urgently needs a re-design. I will definitely go for a 1 level design and cut a lot of unnecessary weight like f.e. fuel tanks, cargo and structural parts. The new design will definitely be a "explorer gunship" (6 x Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector, 6 x Vanguard Hellfire Autocannon). 😁
Besides the unique parts that each manufacturer has which they did to force you to travel the landing pad with ship crafting has all public items so you can grab the special items and then do all the main building at your outpost
pls remember if you dont already know it that is 🙂 if a weapon has max power 4 you can only have 3 of it if the weapon has max power 3 you can have 4 of it if the weapon has max power 2 you can have 6 of it and max power 10 you can only have 1 of it🙂 cause each weapon type needs to have the total power of 12 like i mentioned above🙂
A class B ship will likely have engines,weapons or ther parts classified as class B, so you would have to ditch those and replace with A class parts. So you could.
As an aside, I've noticed most Starfield RU-vidrs use PC. I'm on Xbox series S and am plagued with crashes and freezes. I don't think the S is quite "big" enough.
