I made this tonight only difference I skipped mushrooms cuz I didn’t have any. My only advice is from my experience 60 yrs old is cook onions and other veggies first then garlic last so it doesn’t get too brown but this is an excellent recipe. Thank you loved it. My polish husband was over the moon for this 👍. Keep them coming
Lord have mercy, I wish you could see my chicken cacciatore!! This recipe reminds me of my Philly girlfriend’s which I haven’t had in years. Thank You again!! ♥️
Can I please make a special request? Would you please make Fried Italian long hot peppers. My favorite sandwich in the world is Capicola on fresh Italian bread, with provolone, the oil from the peppers, and a few of the peppers. No Mayo, no lettuce, if tomato, it has to be a Jersey tomato. Fried Italian long hots, in olive oil. Pleezzze!! 👍🏽
Great recipe like my Dad made on his Monday day off from the German- American restaurant, Mayer’s in the Woodlawn northeast section of the Bronx . He used the recipe from the Talisman by Ada Boni, the most popular Italian cookbook from Italy. He added Marsala to the sauce , dry I think , and there was a soffrito with carrot which added sweetness. He used whole chopped up chicken and cooked the thighs longer, about 45 minutes. Some recipes, like Cook magazine recommend pulling off the skin after cooking( “ the skin is ‘flabby’, whatever that means). We would serve it with rigatoni with extra sauce on the side or soft polenta.
Nice dish !! Alta cucina san marzano style plumb tomato's for the win !! California grown and canned. Daddy Jack used em . I still get a whole case at a time off Amazon!! ❤
I just subscribed to your channel. Recipes look great. Have you considered getting a cast iron Dutch oven? You can sear the meat, fry the veggies and still have room for the sauce without changing pans.
Your channel is great man, the real deal! Gotta ditch those Cento tomatoes man they got busted and sued for using Chinese plants, lost all their certifications, now you don't know what you're getting from them. No criticism intended for the recipe you are doing a fantastic job!
@BrooklynBrothersCooking thank you for answering me so quickly! Much appreciated! One more question, does the alcohol from the red wine evaporate when cooking fully? I only ask because I have a family member who can have any alcohol at all.
@@patricialavallee8286 yes, it does evaporate but not fully. Depending on the amount of time they can be anywhere from 6 to 60% of alcohol remaining in the dish.
Thank you for that great recipe I can't remember whether I've seen your Steak Pizzaiola or not you might want to share it again just in case keep up the good work preciate you
