CLASSIC POLVORON 3 cups cake or all-purpose flour 1 ½ cups powdered milk 1 cup crushed cornflakes or pinipig ¾ cup white sugar 1 ¼ cup softened butter Pinch of salt
One of the only few "real" chefs, suggesting alternative to really expensive ingredients. Same with aching Lilian and Ed Kimson. Very down to Earth, intelligent and talented. God bless you po chef
Worth to like, share and subscribed. - not boring - informative - good humored Something you're not used to it! but here mapa pa comment ka talaga Thanks chef RV Keep it up and God bless!
Thanks for the video. You’re not only a great chef, you videos are educational, easy to comprehend, clear and all delicious. Not to mention, you’re so CUTE! Take care.
Polvoron & yema brings back a happy & productive childhood days for me. I remember making them from Elementary to College years to sell sa school. The income I got from it pinambibili ko ng simple accessories, cologne or damit na uso. Sobrang enjoy ako gumawa noon
galing mo tlga. yung magtuturo ka na ang daming explination. Daming trivia. Step by step lahat. galing. Ikaw yung tipong nagtuturo na hindi ka mababagot makinig.
I started this tradition with my kids here in Seattle during Christmas season. They’re now living on their own, but we still make it all together. We call it polvoron party!
I remember the polvoron we used to make was wrapped in colorful Japanese paper...or sometimes cellophane. We used 3rd class flour and Star margarine. I love being the designated "taga-hulma"...then I graduated to being the "taga-balot" as I grew more dextrous in wrapping. Thank you for this Chef RV...it does bring back really good memories! 😍👌
Hehe my mom used to sell polvoron nung bata ako. Sideline nya habang nasa work. Kami ng tita ko taga balot at gamit ang mahiwagang hulmahan. Skimmed milk pa nga lang nilalagay namin nung time na un
I remember during my school days we also make pulvuron and sell it in school.. Malaki ang tubo... Thanks chef i admire you for being informative and teaching us how to understand it making it much easier to us.. Love it
Love your cooking show, from southern California. 💗 Just a 'cheat' for you, I pack my polvoron into 1/2 oz condiment cups instead of the hand mold and wrap with gift tissue paper, cut into 3" squares. Always a favorite at parties, less mess because it's in the paper cups and easy to pack to go. Also with the cups, it's easy for the kids to help me pack because we usually make about 6 recipes per party. 👍🏼☺️ Keep up the great videos, looking forward to many more great recipes! 💗🥰
I watched all your videos, when i rest from studying for my exam. It is really informative and very fun. Thank you for making me laugh with your hugot. I also cooked most of your recipes and they are just perfect, my family and friends really love it, and it makes me happy, they asked me where i learned it, and as you said "good things are ment to be shared" and so I did. Thank you so much Chef.
You are my favorite chef on social media! I love the way you explain everything - you make it simple for your viewers 🧡 Please feature desserts like sans rival, sylvanas and macapuno soon!
Super nostalgic, Chef! I remember when my mom, older brother, and I used to make and enjoy eating this when we were kids. Also agree with you Chef that the simple and classic butter polvoron recipe will always be the best ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Chef. What are your thoughts in using shortening to make polvorón instead of butter? I sell made-to-order polvorón using butter and frequently get asked to ship them. The problem is, is that they mostly arrive crumbled. I noticed that Goldilocks uses shortening in their recipe now. What do you think?
Pro tip: don’t use the same gloves/spoon for packing the polvoron. If using a mold, wash before using to other flavors. The reason for this is that you want to avoid cross contamination of flavors. Also, your customers might be allergic to nuts or other allergens.
@@ceoangel6227 lol no. Pro=professional, professional as in a who does something for a living. If you are one of those people, chances are, you’re aware of that, especially in the food industry.
