The Tuff1 is nice especially in 3/8, but falls short in 1/4dr. The 40975 has a huge head, while the 40970 still has a respectable 60 teeth is buttery smooth with a very light action and a smaller head.
@@jeffreycaban5107 I still prefer the WRIGHT 2400 and 2426 because of the tiny head and of course the contour grip on the 2426 is king, but the 40970 definitely is great.
@@TylerSnyder305 Wright makes excellent tools and I own their Impact Sockets and well as the Wright Grip 2.0 Wrenches (excellent), but I also own their 3400 and 3425 Ratchets and I don't really like the handles on either. In that regard Cornwell Tools Ratchets have the best handle out there.
I have a 3/8" drive palm control style SK ratchet that came with sae 6 point sockets on a rail. The original grease inside of it had dried up so it would slip. After a little oil it is so nice to use; it has very low back drag and has a very high tooth count. It too is a facom design but American made. I got it from a local tool store that has SK tools from the facom era. Last time I was there they had another brand new one by itself for sale. I think it was under $30. I bought so many SK tools from them they started calling me ‘The SK Guy’!
Looks pretty close internally to my K-D 711111 1/4 ratchet if it is it’s a pretty strong design people always gave these ratchets a bad name for them binding up or just plain fail to work correctly but the real truth was using grease to service these ratchets was the problem that little wire spring just doesn’t keep in place with heavy grease pushing it out light oil will fix it every time never have I seen one of these mechanisms break under normal use so my opinion is a damn good ratchet
