Thanks for sharing. Brought back fond memories of being a kid sitting at knickerbrook watching Cleland, Rydell, Menu etc coming down the hill into that chicane
Idk about that, I never think about Volvo when it comes to racing, at all ever. When I think of the 90s touring cars I think of Nissan, Renault, Peugeot, Alfa, Audi and BMW, never Volvo.
Adrian Matthews so true my friend look I got amazing videos on channel would you like to have a look and subscribe I would be so grateful u know PEACE ✌️
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. The soundtrack to this vid is perfect. No stupid music, no stupid commentary. So many vids on here are ruined by awful bloody music & terrible commentary by some dullard who thinks his ‘Insights’ are worth listening to. Oh & the Faberge capri is *chefs kiss!
Man, just think, this stuff is consigned to the history books. Soon, a droolworthy engine bay will be replaced with a cylindrical electric lump and the spine tingling sound will be replaced by the sound of xmas morning in the early 90s and scalextrix.
@Adrian Matthews I see. Thanks for that. We have the same limitations here in South Africa. Originally our group 1 cars ran slick tyres but now I'm forced to use semi slick road legal tyres for the historic group 1 championship i race in.
Sa me rappelle quelque chose sa ce trouve j y etait aussi parce que plus jeunes j allais dans beaucoup de courses public auto en plus moi je drift de mon coter sans savoir qu on apeller sa du drift moi je deraper c est tout
I wish they had used the V40 chassis as well as the S40 Volvo with that 5 cyl motor...!!...oh wait it does exist..I did it..I swapped my 1.9 l 4 cyl T4 for an N/A 5 cyl (V70) in my 2002 Volvo V40.....and it"s a marvel in this light car...Volvo should have proposed the S40/V40 cars with that engine...!!!..oh well...
Absolutely hated Rydell because he was so good and kept winning all the time in that era and my dad was selling Nissan's when I was a kid. When Nissan won the Championship back to back they were touring a white SRI around the country plastered with decals to make it look like the Championship car. My dad brought it home on a Friday after work. Cool at the time. The GT with the flip paint was cool as well. Hate Nissan's now pure junk, sadly.
