I got a lot of comments about my desks so my desks are finally moved!! Stick to the end to see what it looks like!!

1. What about social distancing?
The desks that our school provides seats 2 students. They are working on getting individual desks. This is what we have so we have to work around it. That is why I have 30 chairs so I can space out the students. Students also have the option of staying online.

Emily Green it’s meant to be diverse so that all her students can see someone who looks like them and aspire to be like them. Greta Thunberg is there though, so yes it does have white people

That blank space on the writing board would be a good place to add little charts to help with writing (vivid verbs, transition words, editing marks, etc.). Your room is looking great!

It helps to use push pins first then staple after when setting up poster, borders, wallpaper, etc. This ways you can wiggle and move things around to "see" how it looks first. Also I've learned it helps to build words starting from the middle moving out by letters to each side. Took me a few years and learned these tricks from my sister-in-law. Good luck. It looks so great!

Good tip for hanging things is to use thumb tacks so you can easily move and adjust as needed!

You could always put like three different writing prompts in the extra space on the writing station. Then you could switch them out weekly. In Tennessee the start writing tests in third so starting them on prompts would be perfect!

When I was in elementary school, a teacher of mine created a writing "contest" and students submitted writing they created for fun and she hung them up for other students to read- maybe you could do something similar for your writing bulletin board!

If you use matte clear spray paint on your inspiration station it takes the shine off the lamination so the kids can read it!

I literally just found your channel today and i love all of your ideas so far, but i have one comment to make. Coming from a kid that was told in third grade that she was dyslexic, exposing third grade students to bigger words will help them understand. Words like "quarantine," "pandemic," "casualties," etc. will help them possess what is happening in the world right now. Yes, they are still kids, but they are old enough to understand that the world is not normal right now and it'll help woth their brain development later on.

Your room looks great! Super Cute! When you do bulletin boards you can use push pins (thumb tacks) to put the paper up initially. Then you can move the paper around without removing staples et.

Top tip... Did you know you can buy Matt laminating pouches? My school requires we use them for all items that are laminated for display. Much easier than having to spray them later x

For the blank space on ur writing board u can do what I do & add the punctuation rules, monthly writing suggestions that I can each month, spelling words, and a checklist to ensure correct sentences & paragraphs. It sounds like a lot but it’s really not!

Lena Mitzel I usually just place all of the months writing ideas or suggestions in a sheet protection & hang it up & switch them out each month. Same with the weeks spelling words & HFWs that change each week. You can even put the HFW or a copy of the word wall words in a ring to hang & add to throughout the year. The punctuation posters I cut the size down from a 8-1/2x12 to half of that. The checklist can be either size. Idk just some suggestions of things I do for ✍🏼 in my classroom ❤️

I found a CUBE poster on TPT for free. 2 options color or black and white. I just printed and laminated one for my math board. I want to implement this more. Last year a 3rd grade teacher and I were discussing it. I printed a poster for her too. When I do math intervention, I do the methods that the teachers use. CUBE looks like a good one.

I love your classroom! So beautiful! For the wipe situation, I have found that if you go to target right at opening, you can get them. I literally went this morning and got a 3 pack of clorox wipes. Wish I had of thought to put it on my supply list last year.

I really like the design of your room two things to think about please. First unless you actually have OCD which is a real thing that is difficult for people diagnosed please use another phrase : such as “ I really don’t like it when things are not ---“ second while I think it is a cute room, Please stop saying it. When I am working on my classroom I think what is functional first then design. Just what I have been thinking and wanted to share.
