1. What about social distancing?
The desks that our school provides seats 2 students. They are working on getting individual desks. This is what we have so we have to work around it. That is why I have 30 chairs so I can space out the students. Students also have the option of staying online.

You should turn the student desk to where there’s two sets rows facing each other and a space doing down the middle between. Key: | = one desk placed vertical from your desk -------

That’s a good idea! My admin want all the desks facing the same way:( it’s just because of recent guidelines from the state! 😊

re: Google access- if you put your slideshow, video, etc into one google drive folder, you can then give access to the whole folder and won't have to individually give access to items.

I am also in school for education and I wholeheartedly agree with your teaching philosophy. One of the biggest reasons for going down the career path of education for me is that my students would know that not only am I their teacher, but I am a safe person for them to talk to and a mentor. I hope when I become a teacher I will have the luxury of being in a school similar to yours because it seems that there is a sense of community. Also I am loving your videos and cannot wait to see what else you have coming.

We only laminate things that will be handled, so we don't laminate wall hangings. No glare. Less cost. 😘

Love all your videos!! I learned after my first year of teaching to keep a little bag with everything you forget when you are super busy. Especially when you try to workout before work it gets crazy! I just keep chapstick/lip gloss, toothbrush, a little makeup, earrings, change of clothes!! Just a suggestion! Happy teaching :-)

Looks so great! One comment regarding the classroom tour for your students, I would just try to be mindful of saying “you guys” so frequently. As a teacher myself, I try to be conscious of how I’m referring to my littles. You can just say “you” “you all” I know some teachers say “friends” or “kiddos”

I still can't believe schools did away with desks... desks were the best way to go even before social distancing. Maybe this will be the reason it all circles back around though.
