I relate to this 100%! I'm a first year teacher. While working on my classroom this summer, there's been so many days I've wondered what I even did with my time!!! Then I obsess over it and feel dissatisfied and just keep thinking of more to do. I'm trying to remind myself to just be present where I'm at as you recommend. I'm also trying to remind myself that it's my first year, it won't be perfect, and a teacher's work is never done! You're doing great and your classroom is gorgeous!!!!

Your classroom looks amazing! I agree that it's amazing how quickly time flies and it seems like hardly anything gets done when worming on your classroom but it's very time consuming. Good luck on getting your house! I hope things go in your favor!

I saw a tip on how to store border on Pinterest and they used binder clips on a wire hanger to make it super organized and neat. Love your classroom!

These videos are so inspiring. Thanks for sharing. Have to say this, save a life, adopt when you’re ready for a dog. Thousands of dogs are put down daily. Houston has some of the highest kill rates in the US.

I just found your videos today, what a blast it's been to watch them! Keep it up, you've got some great ideas. I'm currently teaching English in Korea and I don't have my own classroom here so there's no decorating for me. I'm so glad I'm a teacher for 7-9th grade in Germany. We don't decorate beforehand and the walls mostly stay white with maybe a few posters.

I think a good idea for the head phones on your door would be to cut another shoe holder (if you have an extra lying around) and staple to the bottom. I dont know if that makes sense but seeing as you dont have enough for each student, just a thought. 😊

Your classroom looks great! I love your colors. You said you didn't know why you had to cover your window on your door.?. I believe it is a safety measure in case of a lockdown so no one can see if there is anyone in the classroom. My husband made a cover for my window that has a small door that I can open to see who is at the door before opening it. All of our doors must remain locked throughout the day.
