Been using this for months and I can’t get over how good it sounds. It’s great for anything, but especially for those of us who live in apartments and can’t crank up/mic up real amps.

Every amp sim can sound "not fizzy" if u just pull down high cut in the eq... Start with 7khz and go down, set it where u like it, simple as that.

@@KrstovicNikola Yeah that helps. Sometimes you have to sweep around and find it with a finer EQ cut.

@@JeffHesterDesigns Yup. I hate when someone says "it sounds fizzy" and they didnt even bother to put high cut or some kind of eq. I guess they didnt hear a 57 on axis on a guitar box in the sound room, not in front of the amp... If it didnt have high cut it would be painful... :D

No comments about pete's playing & song-writing. just mind blowing riffs, as usual. amphub is great. some of the models are extremely good. Like most digital stuff, the preamps are convincing but the power amp section is ok. So, i get even more realism by turning off the cabinet simulator. I just use only the preamp section & plug my audio interface's output into my (REAL) tube amp's power amp section. try it,the 5150 & the NRR amps will shake your walls, i promise.

Hey Pete, did you play the rhythm parts twice, & pan them left & right? As I noticed in the clean sound you had the effects panned left & right? Is the 64 bit sample rate you mentioned, is that of the plugin, like what you choose in the installation? What sample rate are you using in your logic DAW? & what is the sample rate of your audio interface? Cheers bro great job

I've been using the STL Amp plugin for about 7 months I think. I haven't touched a real amp since. I've also tried Bias FX, Neural DPS and Guitar Rig. This one sounds the most "real" to me.

By far the cheapest way to get sick plugins for 10 bucks a month...I also found plugin alliance to be great as well they have the engl and diesel amps in there musician monthly bundle for like 12 bucks

That is one thing I’ve never actually done! I’d be a little freaked out at first. But I know people that do it like Jennifer Batten. My worry is an email would come in and that “BING” sound would disrupt my solo... Or maybe it would make it better!

Get a separate laptop and a backup just for your rig, with no internet. I bet it could save a lot of money on a big tour vs shipping amps and cabs!

I just bought BIAS FX 2 Elite and asked for a refund immediately after seeing this video. Not really, but I did ask for a refund. Seem much like the original and some stuff pissed me off about it. I am liking the free version of Amplitube 5 so far. Softube stuff looks good too, but they use that silly iLok thing, so can get effed. We are spoiled for choice these days. I also found a plugin for IR reverbs along with a libary of plates and chambers etc. Really good. Free plugin suite. Melda is the name

Sounds like any other amp sim, ie not an amp. they are ok for rhythm but lead is always thin and unrealistic when compared to the real deal , in my experience. Owned and played many amps live and at home. I have just two right now, an Engl invader 11 and a 69 plexi metropolis which i made and modded for the Slash/Dokken/ early Dio sounds. I use a torpedo reload and mics for recording , don't like the feel or sound of artificial amps .
