Would love to see an explanation video about the new property using an overhead map. Give us some detailed insight on what you have done so far, why you did what you did, and some hints on upcoming plans. Maybe finish new videos with an updated map. I’d like to be able to visualize how your old road was situated on the property, where you cut in the new road, where the areas you cleared and blasted are located, and where you plan to put new structures. Thanks for the great content Andrew!

I'd almost doubt something like that ever being made simply because most of Andrew's channel documents work done on his private land, and should someone misuse such map information, his privacy could be at risk. I agree it would be useful to have that detailed insight, and I too, wonder where this all is in relation to past projects and future ones; however, I can't fathom the internet's capacity to release information without consent of the owner.

@@guytech7310 Where I live, way back in the sticks, there are DOZENS of multimillion dollar contracts JUST NOW opening up, in mid-term, or just completing. Be this good or bad, we have yet to learn, but where I live, to a great extent, there is a large percentage of internal self reliance going on, meaning that much of this new construction is entirely independent of the outside world. A whole lot of really wealthy people moved into this area [or still are] where there are few rules and low taxes, and they are investing heavily, which, while it drives prices up, it tends to drive the economy here like never before. We even have some European investors putting money into the local economy here, mainly based on the highly pro-2a, super low wages, unbelievably low taxes, and nearly nonexistent regulations. We are experiencing a never-before-seen level of economic growth. That said, surely at some time it will end, I know, but, since I can so deeply undercut even the already low contractor costs locally, I will never have a problem being profitable while others are going out of business. Likely as not, in the end, I will end up one of the very last ones standing.

When I watch you doing various things on your mountain, I often wonder where everything is in relation to the others. Like where is the gravel quarry in relation to the camp, or where you put the pond, etc. It then got me thinking; what is the size and shape of mountain property? Is it long and skinny, oval, rectangular or some peculiar shape. It would be great to see a drawing (sketch) of where everything is. Thanks. Cheers, EJ

Andy, really enjoy your channel, I watch for your new video every week. But I wonder why you're so wasteful of the products on your mountain. When you blasted at the castle, you dumped most everything down the side of the mountain. Why didn't you stockpile it for use later? And on this video, you're dumping all that top soil over the side of the mountain. Why not stockpile that for later resale as top dirt or use it yourself at your mountaintop camp site for a beautiful lawn and garden? Of course, it's your mountain and you can do with it what want. Still love your videos!

Столько древесины выкидываешь буквально на ветер... а она денег стоит, начиная с того, что дровами можно топить, и заканчивая, сколько продуктов можно получить при её переработке.В других странах за это тебя бы уже не раз оштрафвали, как минимум.

You purposely blasting out that rock just above where your trailer is because you are going to build your perfect mountain top get away. Using the excavated spot to build it like the quick flash on the plane ride home from Montana, your newest project. Built in mountain top right in the center of your property. Great location, if i do say. 😮😊 i cant wait to see it get started, i will be watching every video so i dont miss anything. Go for it Andrew.

Excited to see more blasting and digging with the 988. Ive been curious about why thumbs are so common in america but you rarely see them in europe. There its almost exclusively tiltrotators. You have a lot of experience with thumbs, i wonder if you could ever share your thoughts on tiltrotators and maybe compare them with thumbs?
@cathiwim
@cathiwim Год назад
I think thumbs are more versatile- depending on where you live, theres a lot of rock, and the thumbs can pick up a heavier load with more stability

@ThisGuyWantsBeer
@ThisGuyWantsBeer Год назад
I’ve used both, tiltrotators take away a good bit of breakout ability just because the bucket sits further from the mounting point, I’ve also noticed jaw opening to class size. My 3 ton with thumb had the same opening as my 5 ton with tiltrotator roughly. Pretty cool idea for landscaping work, but not good for forestry and heavy excavation.
@megape95
@megape95 Год назад
@@ThisGuyWantsBeer well everything has his pros and cons. If i attach a sorting grab to a mini im able to do some finer placement work. on the other end, it weighs a lot, is expensive and it does not have nearly enough digging force with stump digging. Tiltrotator and a thumb are really not a comparison in my eyes.
