Cleveland LAUNCHER XL Driver Review 

I played my Cleveland Launcher 460 for 15 years; Cleveland drivers are vastly underrated.

Playing a very old xl custom...knocked all newer drivers out of my back (sold all of them). Never dreamt I would be playing a Cleveland driver. Love the deep head. It shows dont discount other brands or older stuff. Nice video

Got fit for driver at the Mississauga location yesterday fantastic experience Dean was great. Found me an extra 10 yards carry and 14 yards total. I’ll be back next spring for new irons

I bought the Cleveland Launcher XL lite 3 weeks ago after watching this video. It is a very forgiving driver and i still get my average distance on the off center hits. Just like when Matt said he hit it off the heal but it still got distance, I'm seeing the same thing. I'm astonished with how straight I'm hitting the ball with this club. Thanks for the great review on a great product.

0:36 I really like that graphic Cleveland developed to show how all the settings of the adjustable sleeve affect the face angle (face positioning: open/closed), loft, and lie. I wish more manufacturers would provide a more detailed table/graphic like this.

This is one of the best drivers out there right now for anything low to high handicappers. I bought this driver a couple months ago and I hit this thing further and straighter on my mis-hits than I do with my old driver on clean hits.

Been playing this Cleveland Launcher XL for a couple of months and after messing with the loft I can hit some nice looking drives pretty consistently. As a roughly 18 handicap player that's all I can ask for.

My next purchase for sure. Loving my Cleveland irons too. Good value I reckon.

I've been a Cleveland stalwart since 2003/4, I've had the original launcher drivers, 400,460, 460 Comp, Hibore, Hibore Xl, SL290, TL310, Cleveland Classic, Classic XL, and XL custom.... I've hit some booming drives with the Launcher Comp and Classic Custom XL, they're very underrated drivers, I've driven 380yd par 4's at my club and that's no BS, I love Cleveland and always will!!🙌🏻 Only downside is they don't make players irons any more so I had to get a set of Mizuno blades, and they're great as well!!

I game the Cleveland XL Halo 3 & 7 woods and I’m absolutely satisfied with them. I use the 3 wood quite often off the tee. It’s straight and super forgiving and I can hit it nearly as far as my driver. The 7 wood with the glide rails is great off the fairway and works equally efficiently out of light to moderate rough. These clubs not only saved me substantial dollars versus the competition but they punch way above their weight. I know this was about the driver but I think players overlook these fairway metals as well and they’re really good sticks.

I am still swinging the Cleveland HiBore XL. I Love the look of the top of that driver head! I have bought a few high end driver since then trying to upgrade and always go back to my hibore. Could have to do with the shaft in it also though.

i bought a 2011 cleveland launcher 310 driver brand new for £49 plus free P&P, what a club super long and so hard to slice keeps the balls going straight no matter where you hit it off the face, going to be in my bag for a long time

Been waiting for this driver to be tested but very interested in the other woods in the new series . Just been fitted for the Srixon ZX7 driver but the hybrid and fairway woods look great value as they are using Srixon technology.

Mine gets here tomorrow! I'm putting the velcor black shaft in it!

Surprisingly effective driver from Cleveland. They are totally shunned as a driver brand by consumers in the UK in my experience. Retailers also seem to struggle to sell them.

I was always a fan of the Cleveland Launcher Driver that had the dropped down back section, apart from the noise that it made at impact I was a great Driver👍

Wonder if you guys will review the newer "Pro" model of the Exotics C721 driver? I know the standard model did great in the bracket, I think it's just a slightly smaller head.

You guys should have a counter that shows how many shorts in you are for each one that’s actually shown. It would be really helpful for us all to get an idea of how many shots it takes to hit the kind of shorts that you show

Been curious about this for awhile. How do you all swing 6.0 (stiff) and keep your distance and control so well? You're obviously high speed, xstiff players..

What driver would be recommended then to get a flatter ball flight? I definitely don't need more launch, I need to work on my distance. Any suggestions to start my search?

I thought flat or upright meant how the club head sat on the ground at address. In the graphic it shows flat as shaft angle toward the ground.

Hey boys, awesome vid. Question on the lower smash…is that a trade off due to the higher MOI? Do you sacrifice energy transfer for stability when you move the weight that far back?

Sounds definitely like a Cleveland driver. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind it. Used to game a hibore XL. Would love to try out Cleveland’s fairway woods.

This would have been a good test to see Matt back off on the driver. Very few people shopping for this driver are going to have a 120 mph swing speed.

How does this compare to the cobra speed zone driver?

Looking for a newer driver as I’m playing a 2017 Wilson Triton. The driver was actually really underrated back in the day. Anybody recommend a driver 2-3 yrs old that would be good to look at used at my local Edwin Watts? Thanks

Where is the website for the U.S. and do they actually have people to speak with about making sure of what I'm buying. Just too many options out there with cleveland but I use launcher irons and they changed my game 100%. I like playing again.

I love $399 and CK White is a ZERO $$ upgrade.

Have you guys ever been able to try the Krank drivers? Think that’s how you spell it. The ones you see for Long drive competition.

This feels like a case of “damned with faint praise”. Even if you can afford it, what more are other drivers offering for a mid hcp golfer? I don’t have a view, this is a genuine question! (I’m 14 hcp and in the market for a new driver)

I appreciate them adding adjustability to the Cleveland driver, but I MUCH prefer the look of the previous Launcher Turbo HB model. The new one looks a little cheap.

I just wish it looked nicer. I think they took a big step back from last generation in terms of appearance (Launcher Turbo). I game the previous model, but I can't see this one in my bag.

If Cleveland are going to incorporate modern technology in their drivers they would do well to work on the sound at impact. Every time Matt hit the ball I flinched. Absolutely hurts my ears.

With mizunio and cobra being afforadable, and last year models always dropping in price, i can see why this is an over looked driver
