When I was tired or nervous ,I'm always listen to Cliff Richard and the shadows..Because, their music is very strong like a medicine.I'm 71 years old.Good healths to all.
I've always been a big fan of Cliff and the Shadows ... right from the late '50's. I actually managed to see Cliff for the first time ever about 6 years ago at Newcastle City Hall, it was a dream come true ...we were right down the front as well !!!
Amazing, he maintained his good looks at that age as well as his physique. My goodness, he's a total performer together w/ The Shadows. Cliff Richard Forever.
What to say about them,I am dumb founded. The combination of The Shadows & Clifford makes you wake up & make any place ur dance floor.I am 66 & having a Lower Spine ailment, but still my toes & body is moving wz the beat.Never, ever will they fade away. This is a treat for me from U Tube on this Tuesday morning. Although I bear the loss of Fr.Stan Swammy on this his Funeral day at 3.45pm at St.Peter's Church Bandra.Mumbai.India.He composed that"A caged bird still Sings". He was jailed for no fault of his fighting for the rights of the Tribals of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand state. Many more Fr.Stan will rise up for what is wrong & the truth will prevail.May the Soul of Fr.Stan Swammy join all the Angels & Saints in Heaven on this Great Feast of St.Maria Goretti who kept her body pure to the very end, after receiving 14 stabs in her body.On her death bed forgave the Sinner for his evil act.May the Soul of Fr.Stan Swammy R.I.P. May the Shadow of Jesus fall upon him as he is on the way to meet The Heavenly Father.Amen !!!!
I felt bad now that my idol Sir Cliff Richard and The Shadows finally bid farewel. I will surely missed them. I've been their fans since my high school days way back 1960's.God bless them all! I love them! E . Velasco from The. Philippimes!
only the best can sing the best love Cliff from the start he is only one for me still sings exactly the same after 62 years. Go shads Hank makes that guitar sing
I didn't realise what a good voice Bruce has. They made a cheeky little ditty for Eurovision 'Let me be the one who is loving you tonight' and he was the singer. Brilliant 😊
Time machine is right takes me back to my teenage years in 1958 I was14 nearly 80 years ago,I love transfering them on to TV ,memories is all we have now
@@danielmonteiro9275 Daniel, they're really England's pride, no one comes close they're my favorites & together w/ cliff they're all legends & the one thing I like in them is that they remain intact all through the years I never heard of envy/jealousy among them even w/ Cliff they're friends forever.
Greetings, thank u SirCliff Richard OBE Dr.(Hon) and the shadows. Ur beautiful/lively singing/lyrics and together the amazing music -calls for me to put on my dancing shoes and to dance! Such happiness-many beautiful blessings to all.
I know it is being absolutely selfish, but I would love to see them in concert again. I have admired and loved theirs and Cliffs recordings over the years as well as seeing them on stage. I have many of their records and albums and still enjoy listening to them even now in 2020. But they have to retire sometime and spend time with their families. Good luck and have a long and happy retirement lads.
Asolute the best singer and group of all times. I grew up with them. Please realize that hey are all in their eighties now,. Incredible, they still sound the same.
50 years later I cant imagine I have a talented Grandson on the Guitar, I used to play these videos to him and Chuck Berry etc thinking he didnt take much notice of Grannys old time music and artists, that was till he performed on stage. Seems he took alot in from these greats. From Australia.
From BangPong Thailand i follow cliff Richard back in 1960 now i am in 70 year old still love his song and the brand good luck buddy and retirement some

Interesting incident: I've always been a big fan of Cliff and the Shads. One day in the early '70's I was working as a travelling window display person, was in Finchley north London. I was looking for a certain place, I parked up and with clip-board in hand I went up to the first person I saw and looking down at my clip board I asked this person for directions. I looked up and .... OMG ... it was Bruce Welch !!!! I COULD NOT CONCENTRATE ON WHAT HE WAS SAYING !!!! I was star-struck !! I got back in my van ... couldn't remember one word he'd said, drove a bit further down the road and asked someone else !!!!
I wonder why the Shadows have not been honoured yet. Maybe they have and it has not come to my attention yet. Please somebody update me. If they haven't then they better do something before it's too late. Or does somebody think they dont deserve it? Please do something
For the longest time, The Shadows were a passion of mine. Records, tapes, videos ephemera - everything I could buy, borrow or copy. Heaps of stuff. But alas, as The Shadows recordings, videos and news items became more rare my interest faded. Fortunately, not long before he was struck down by a rare form of cancer, Shadows bassist, the charismatic, Jet Harris enjoyed a second run of well deserved popularity, a bit like a second solo career, I suppose it could be said. Even from the early days of my teens beginning in 1959, Jet's bass patterns were what I hummed along too. Jet was my favourite Shadow. Latter encarnations of The Shadows included some pretty high end bass players session musicians. Right from Jet Harris to Mark Griffiths and Alan Jones - yeah, I know, I'm missing quite a few others here, blame decreptitude at old age, my memory does not include a list of them all. Other Shadows enthusiasts will have the music smarts that can allow them to remember other bassists and do that convincingly. How could I've forgotten, Brian "Licorice" Locking and John Rostill. The remaining Shadows are old men now and seldom come to my notice any longer this is what happens to our hero's. In the end, there is only the end and that's all fine and dandy too.
