This game is so freaking detailed. It looks and feels so awesome...still I prefer IL2 1946...mainly for the custom battles and the huge amount of aircraft to choose from. A remake of 1946 with these graphics would be awesome.

this is looking really fantastic, and well worth the wait. thanks to you and your team for the effort you have put in to it. i can't wait to jump in the 109 and just spend an hour practicing touch and go's, because if the Fm is as good as the visuals i don't want to prang any of your beautiful planes due to me being clumsy at the controls! thanks again!
Exceedingly well made details in camuflage as well as armament in all planes!!!!..., nevertheless all these planes were not used in this theatre of operations at the same years nor did the Italian planes!!!!!.......Congratulations various types of aircraft in a sole thriller!!!!!... You "can" run with either but a joystick or flight stick is highly recommended as it allows supreme control compared to the latter and im fairly certain you can run a three screen display
Ah would have loved to watch the bits and pieces of enemy planes simply distort when the air around the aircraft wringles it off like you see on those old guncam films. Nice though! Very nice! :)
This is actually the best sim ever done in term of graphic quality! I also tried DCS and Great Battles but they are far away from Cliffs of Dover. I'm very exciting for the Tobruq module with the chance to fly the best Macchi 202 Folgore over Sea and Desert. Hope Team Fusion evaluate also Sicily and Malta map.
Clod has just had a patch update and has improved performance massively. The sequel is currently being made and I have every bit of faith that this time we will see a sim worthy of replacing IL2. For now though, IL2 still, after over ten years is holding strong. I really mean this, it will get better.........
Since this is an official trailer and they show the name of the composer, you would assume that the music has been written specifically for the trailer/game.
IL-2 Sturmovik 1946: Forgotten Battles is currently the best combat flight simulator there is. But this newer version, Cliffs of Dover, still have a lot to be worked out. Require a extremely powerful PC despite the graphics are not that good, and got only 25 flyable airplanes so far.

Сравнивать не с чем. Конкурировать - ну, разве что с самим собой (т.е. с Ил-2). Поэтому будем довольствоваться тем, что есть. А вообще, помнится, когда-то считалось, что БОБик будет рвать КХ по всем статьям, а в итоге он не только не рвёт, а во многом (в зрелищности, в оптимизации) ещё и проигрывает...
Oleg, was this recorded at maximum settings? Am I seeing tiled water, or is this just a beta thing? Everything else looks absolutely amazing!! Can't wait to buy this when it comes out.
@OlegMaddox Can you tell us what the PC specs were when flying these segments of footage? I'd also be interested in the software used to create the film footage, including the blue screen stuff. Oh, by the way who were the two guys acting for the blue screen? Thanks T_O_A_D

И даже если не все получилось и не все успели, ведь издатели всегда давят сроками, все благодарны вам за вашу работу. А недостатки я уверен будут исправлены, это вопрос времени. Терпения вам и энтузиазма как и раньше. Игра мной уже заказана с нетерпением жду релиза...
@Bra23we12 I'm going to wait longer than that. First, to let Ubisoft expand the series, just as IL 2 expanded to the '46 version. Also, many mods will be done by then & the bugs worked out. And, as you said, what was once super-computer territory becomes everyday average desktop. I'm still not the slightest bit bored with my IL 2 Sturmovik 1946 game, all being played smoothly on my lowly eMachines desk top. Look forward to the future though.
1C Company, The trailer is fantastic! This surpasses the IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 combat flight simulations by leaps and bounds! Cliffs of Dover is certain to be a global hit. I have posted a link to this at the website of which I am an Administrator. ( Name not posted here in respect to you. ) The tracers are much better than previous IL-2 and thank you for the quality of the whole simulation.
This games was pushed out the door unfinished so its still in beta stage we need to start hearing good things about this game again. Praying for the best dont give up making it better.
What gets me is during the slowdown you can see the prop blades. Is the prop pitch actually visually modeled? It reminds me of when I first saw the opening film in Il-2, when I realized that the wheels kept on spinning after the planes had left the ground. Was that a Beaufighter I saw?
@OlegMaddox Is there any chance you can make the epilepsy filters optional with a unofficial or official patch/fix? World in conflict had an "option" for it, so i'm sure its not against the rules?
@Sweler1 Боюсь, что машины такой еще нет, чтобы все это было в детализации шутера на площади карты в 100+ тысяч квадратных километров... в Шутере квадраные километры.... а не сотни тысяч Если сделать как вы просите - то будет 0 кадров в секунду. Ну а для тех кто хочет наполнить жизню всю землю и города - вперез за редактор встроенный в игру (так же как было в Ил-2, но только более продвинутый). Вы бы понимали о чем разговор хотя бы когда рассуждаете о домиках. Все сделано оптимально.

A question Oleg, in this video you can see a wing ripping off the Spitfire, is it possible that the broken off parts of aircraft can hit your own plane and damage it?
The black & white lower surfaces of the Spitfires (4:22 - 4:24) not longer was used by the RAF at the "Battle of Britain". But nevertheless good details.

И от вас действительно ждали многого! Например, динамическую погоду - это изначально заявлялось как одна из основных фич. Ждали, что в целом игра выйдет на новый уровень - по графике, по физике - по всем статьям! Многое вам прощали, списывали на WIP, но сейчас настал момент истины и... где все это?
@atnoehusaonetu the gun cam feel at 4:08 from bf-110 and ME109 is my favorite part of this video. The realism is astonishing. I hope they are not "edited" game footage. I mean, I hope the actual game looks as good as in this video. Oleg we are counting on you. I already pre-ordered it. Don't let us down.
At 2:25, where those planes Hurricanes with a rear gunners place just behind the cockpit? Because it looks 90% on te Hawker Hurricane... and if it has a different name, can you tell it to me?
@peace36660 point taken,besiides i've upgraded myself to an I7/GTX 480 gaming rig so i will be able to indulge in my passion for wwII aviation. btw is this game still so laggy/buggy or is all that patched up now?
@kakster22 thats impressive that you have a grandfather that was a stuka pilot, i always thought stukas where the coolest aircraft, I know they had alot of weaknesses but I would of loved to have met your grand father and know his story.

Что ни апдейт, то либо звука нет, либо настройки занижены, либо секретность, либо оправдание всего этого тем, что это ещё WIP. А когда, собственно, будет не WIP? Когда общественность сможет увидеть действительно красоту и реализм - то, что мы все так долго ждали? Сейчас уже поздно об этом говорить, но, на мой взгляд, лучше обойтись вообще без апдейтов, чем разочаровывающие апдейты.
@Baum1986 The bomb drop blew me away, I thought for a second I was watching an animatic and not gameplay. Never seen bombs drop like that before in a sim.
