Epic climb... and one of the few I actually have done, last year. It's so recognizable! This brings back so many memories, I love it.

Your a beast. Pulling 2.5 to 3.5 W/kg and sick. And going up at 11%. You got me beat. GREAT JOB!!!! Juliet. Loving the videos...

That is fantastic work out that long. I can usually do 1 hour on indoor bike once a week & 20min 3 times a week You inspire everyone thank you!!

as a cyclist in the flatlands of Florida, this route kills me. Just so much climbing for me and eats my legs, but I have done it 3 times, and my times were slow, slower, and not as bad as slower, but worst than slow, lol. I have shown some improvement some aspects of the overall ride in how I felt and how much power I was able to put out and not having to use as low of a gearing setup on my smart bike, so that is improvement. Using small climbs to build up my climbing legs and will tackle it again. This is how I check my improvement across time. My last attempt was just over 2.5 hrs. I'd love to be sick and do this route under 2 hrs, lol. Great job.

Impressive power output for someone not at 100%! I did the three challenge rides over three days and enjoyed them, although I was a bit disappointed that the Ventoux stage was from Malaucene rather than Bedoin. I have ridden all three climbs in real life and Rouvy is great for reliving memorable rides. There is a 2500 m vertical version of the Grossglockner and you can do the Stelvio from three directions on Rouvy too! By the way, in the GCN video where Ollie Bridgewood did all three rides in one day he was bending reality a bit--I was seeing his power at 17 W/Kg!

You've performed very well Juliet, cheers to you! Apparently everyone is faring better than me at the minute fitness-wise so it would be advisable to get moving sooner rather than later =/ And, I want to get climbing Stelvio this year, really legendary pass we have here up north. 👋🇮🇹☀️ 😊

A nice, easy climb judging by your heart rate. You didn't even touch zone 4 until the finish line. You definitely could have made that more difficult on yourself....but maybe that wasn't your intention!

So much harder on a trainer (not that I’d know) but wow, you’re awesome! I’m going to try this one day 🙂

Inspired by Juliet I gave it a go. Took me 2.25 but really felt my legs at 3km to go. Climbed this on Zwift and now ROUVY and much preferred the AR!

Almost 2 hours on an indoor trainer? You deserve a medal for that!

I completed Ventoux in zwift. The last three miles to the summit was starchy.

Interesting to see Rouvy, I was expecting it to be better than Bkool, but I think Bkool looks better

Whilst it can feel a tad frustraing being away from "your" peak, what i would say you metrics are as you will be aware still very good, mostly zone 2 pushing out 3 W/Kg and only HR in mid zone 3 circa 140 at 11% and pushing out high 3 W/Kg tell's says you've got alot left in those legs. I also think its super important to let your body run though cycles and maintaining peak i think isn't actually healthy over the long term. I've found actually easing back then working up again i get better times, strange isnt it, i think it's to do with recovery or lack of it when constantly at "peak". I also note im more likely to pick up colds and bugs when running prolonged peak condition. Nice ride, think Rouvy is ace far prefer to zwift esp on big screen if you have your trainer set up that way, way more interesting i find. Hope you keep injury free and safe rides.

Would have completed every hill! but i purchased my kickr snap not realizing it only goes to 12% simulated gradient incline so i am limited here! So maybe next winter a new Kickr with top gradient setting .As Rouvy is my indoor option when the wind speed goes over 20mph outdoors as if any more windy danger to life or it is to iced over and dangerous

For a little extra the Kicker Core is worth it, 16% and direct on and 1800 watts max. I went back in the day through the range of trainers (thinking i would hate it so didnt invest heavily to start with) but the benefits are undeniable, its infinately better also than being at a Gym with the comfort of your own home and bike. Yep im the same as when in the UK my regular routes are the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District and well the roads can be like glass this time of year (or as we are today, snow) so Rouvy is fantastic, i love how can "reclimb" routes done in the real world or visit ones i haven't seen but inspired to do, i tried to like Zwift but im always going back to Rouvy! Safe riding and hope you keep injury free, but yea defo worth the hop up to the core in the wahoo range, plus way more quiet and well no messing with training wheels etc.

Excuse my Rouvy ignorance but can a person use ERG mode for the rides?

erg mode is available for workouts. this is time trial mode, so no erg mode.

You could definitely use a smaller handlebar. At least try it. Will be much easier on your wrists. Kuddos

Ah, it looked bigger than a 38. But if it feels ok then it it is 👌🏻. I enjoyed your content while zwifting. Maybe I will even try rouvy after watching your climb

Katie eats the real Ventoux for breakfast ! Summit finish from 3 different routes, back to back. 🐐 Well done though J, lurgy's in the rear view mirror :)

I'll only attempt that at 50% reality with my current lack of fitness... Oh and I just realised that you did it on a TT bike, you know that gave you a weight penalty right? They're great for flatter routes mind you..

M o r n i n g ! PS: Not everyone wants to reveal it but can you get us a small figure of your W/Kg? Is it above or below 4.5 at the moment?
@JulietElliottsChannel
@JulietElliottsChannel 5 месяцев назад
It’s WAY below that. I don’t know what it is right now exactly, as I’ve not tested in a whole. But when I was very fit it was 4.1 w/kg and right now I’m not

@wsbygt 5 месяцев назад
@@JulietElliottsChannel Really? You averaged 172W along with 128BPM for 2hours and your weight probly is +-52Kg. Either way have fun!
