They seem to enjoy shocking people, they appear to get a kick out of it, with all the drama they pump into it, too. They're not sad about it, they're enjoying this. Takes away the sense of genuineness. I think it should be legal for them to be together, though - just should be extremely illegal for them to have children. Don't get me wrong I think it's gross, but I think if you can effectively take out the genetic risk element with a specific law, it's hard to keep arguing against two consenting adults of the same age with no signs of abuse. Should be they can be together, but if they conceive they lose custody and go to prison.
My grandparents were first cousins and had 3 very very intelligent children. Years ago it wasn't at all unusual for cousins to marry. Alot of royalty and wealthy aristocratic families married cousins as back then it was considered "keeping the bloodline pure". Obviously these days we know very differently especially when you see hereditary conditions being passed down throughout history. This couple i think love the attention more than each other. However i just wanted to point out its not illegal everywhere and in certain places and certain times it was likely even encouraged. X

Marrying or having a relationship with your cousin is mostly just an unpleasant and disappointing factor to people. You gotta remember, this was an extremely common practice in the past. Meaning, we all have some history in our family tree where people has married within our own bloodline. But my point is, it's not an uncommon thing. It's just that, most people prefer not to reveal it due to fear of being ridiculed and ostracized by family and friends. I guarantee you that if this subject wasn't ever a taboo, you would see a whole lot of cousins getting married to one another in the states and all over the world.

I think the reason there is such an issue is because with first cousins having a child the risk of the baby having genetic abnormalities increases greatly.
From my stepfather side, his mom married her first cousin and still carry on their grandkids these problems in the blood, a lot of them where born with cognitive problems, autism, body deformities. Okay let me preface this by saying I would never personally marry any of my cousins and I also agree that this couple seems very obsessed with the attention. However, I will just say in general that I think it’s a very western idea that marrying your cousin is immoral and saying it will lead to child abuse is also a generalization that I don’t think is fair. In many Asian cultures, this is very standard and results in many happy and healthy marriages and families. I’m not telling anyone what to do but I wish people would be a little more open minded and realize that the Western way isn’t the only way
I had an experience situation once. Ok here is the senario: I went to Kwanzaa at my older cousin's house and there was my male cousin. He looked at me, I looked at him and I guess he started liking me. So we went upstairs in the attic I also guess it was his room and we started to kiss each other. I felt a little strange and thinking to myself, " What am I doing? I am not in love with my cousin and do not like him in that way What am I doing? And so in conclusion, my advice is this Do Not Fall in Love With your Cousin or cousins! It just does not work. Do Not Do It!
