I don't know about you, but being kidnapped by mindflayers, crash landing in the wilderness and having to trek through mud, old dusty tombs and blighted villages and finally have your bf be trapped in a state of half death certainly screams "I need a spa treatment" at the very least.
Wyll passing that deception check was great considering in-game he is an *awful* liar. Cannot lie to save his life, despite the charisma score. I'm choosing to believe the only reason those wizards fell for it is his intensely honest-looking eyes 😂
At 5:28 I got the impression that Tim (Gale's VA) was just distracted looking at his character sheet when Theo went "Gale.... GALE," since (in the original video without the crop) you can see him staring down at the table during that part. But them playing it off as Gale being clueless was absolute gold LMFAO the cucumber slices 😭
Hahaha one of the subtly funniest things about this whole trip is that Gale tries to ask for the same spa treatment for Wyll, thinking he may be too shy, but then after the other scene it cuts back to them and Gale is getting his spa treatment while Wyll is grumpily sitting outside in the waiting room, waiting for Gale to be done. It's just perfectly petulant.
Emotional support extrovert 😭 Next time Neil's gonna be wearing a little vest like those emotional support pets so everybody knows he's got a very important job to do fdhsjkgs
I can see it already, the shy and reclusive Wyll and socially awkward but super snazzy Gale with their chaotic murder hobo vampire somehow convinces them to commit crimes. Call it Guy's Night Out.
Has anyone seen this much publicity and massive support for voice actors from any other game? These fine folks are getting valued recognition outside the game credits few people look at when the game is over.
It could be that this is the most popular party-based RPG since Dragon Age Inquisition, and with current social media, it's easier for the voice cast to engage with fans of the game and to stream the game.
Well, hard work pays off, also it's not just any game, safe to say it already have legendary status. Every RPG in next decade going to be compared to it.
Very good thing it was Wyll doing the deception against the cowled wizards considering the charisma scores. :D Although, Gale did charm the priestess pretty well. :)
the happy look theo has after passing that successful deception is so relatable, i was as nervous and excited as he is for my first D&D sessions, trying to do deceptions or persuasions for the first time. and that feeling of a successful check is elating. and i'm playing as a tiefling warlock too!
I can imagine that Tav reaction to their little adventure and devastated. Tav : "WHAT THE FUCK GALE? YOU ALMOST SHAVE YOUR BEARD? HOW DARE YOU" and then i really can imagine the exact reaction from tara when she heard the story, but for the opposite reason
I now wish bg3 had done the dnd splitting the party and having different scenes and mini adventures like this happening. I guess though that's sadly the limit to video games
Wyll rolls a 14 + 3 and the wizards get a natural 1, you can't have a better comedic opportunity than THAT. The whole scene was in favor of perfect comedy timing
