@@anonamos701 I mean I don't know for sure if that was the reason but it makes sense to me. A bye in a tournament is pretty undesirable, and if he cancelled last minute it puts the organisers in a bad spot.
He qualified for asl and then dropped out last minute, he's an all around very bm racist guy, and he participated in some tournament with Savior in China. Somehow he's 32 and can't keep his shit together.
when you kill 2 goons with 0 loss couldn't a good move be just all-in by pulling some SCVs and try to set up a contain in the natural? the reaver won't nearly be fast enough and protoss just spent bunch of money upgrading. is the reason you don't know if they're going 3 gate observer goon?
Brood War has a clearer art style and units don't blob up due to pathing/collision/control group limit. This leads to more varied and dynamic engagements throughout the entire length of play. And since player control will inevitably be imperfect we also get the exciting come back mechanic that SC2 lacks. Brood War never ends up being a blob vs blob stand off that instantly ends the game once one actual engagement happens. No modern game will ever match Brood War as a spectator sport since no modern player or developer will accept a game that is as mechanically challenging as Brood War and it is those mechanics that make Brood War a spectacle for spectators. You don't have to know anything about the game as a casual observer to enjoy it, it just looks cool and exciting. Whereas, imo, every other esport appeals to people who already play those games. The crowds Brood War drew at its peak were beautiful, you had the nerds, the super fans, regular guys, salary men, hot chicks, literal groupies for some players, freaking old people who probably never even played a video game. It was a slice of every demographic and my money is on no game ever recreating that

May be a stupid question but would it ever be viable to use ghost lockdown vs carriers? Is it too much to invest in, too micro intensive, or is it a timing issue?
Occasionally you see a pro TvP game with lockdown but it's exceedingly rare. The costs in both resources and time to make enough ghosts, let alone tech them up to lockdown to be ready for the carriers makes it unfeasible 99% of the time. Think about how difficult it would be to pump out enough mech to deal with the protoss gateway units while simultaneously amassing enough ghosts to make it worthwhile to spend the resources on them. Then you would need the APM to both keep them alive and get them into position to be of any use in the first place. And if the carrier transition never comes then you're stuck with the largely useless, squishy ghosts for the gateway army to chew up. Imagine the absolute massacre from one scarab getting through on your group of ghosts LOL...
One thing that really sets apart pro terrans from the rest is targeting goons with tanks in engagements and not having them blast zeals & AoE their own tanks... always sad to see :/
Goliaths just plain don't work against carriers because they just get kited. I think you have to go wraith because going goliath against carriers is just an insta loss.
Sadly wraith takes too much in resources for building the starports and build time. They just aren't tanky enough to kill more than a few carriers. I wish we could see BC's with yamato to even the field but I think that runs into similar problems and even less mobility.
