I so love how they Devil-May-Cry-ed the battle system for melee characters like Cloud, Zack, Sephiroth or Tifa! How can anyone be mad at this?! Like, after Advent Children one cannot watch turn based battles without their eyes being hurt, without unsatisfaction! And this is what normal fans waited for after Advent! P.s. Whoever would've guessed that Cloud and Sephiroth are actually a dream team!
Is not "Devil May cry ed" is not even close to DMC 1. Althought that Jump at the start did catch me off guard. Everything is else was mostly weird material combinations tha I never considered, which is cool, but stop saying is like DMC when IS NOT. The most skilled thing here is indeed how he parries with Sephiroth, something that You cannot do in any dmc.
I think what they meant was that they leaned further into the action game aspect of Remake's combat system, like with the implementation of a perfect block, giving certain characters more options while in mid air that can allow them to stay in the air almost indefinitely, etc. Granted, calling it DMC-esque is still a really big reach. Calling it more "Character Action game-esque" would be more fitting, if anything.
Flawless precision. That ending with the temporal imprisonment on sephiroth had me lol. And the fact you waited until sephiroth was free to stick with the mission and finish with the helix synergy was super pro. I loved this

LMAO @ Odin using Temporal Imprisonment on the wrong guy. I mean, I get his logic, he doesn't want Sephiroth to kick his ass. But the problem is that now Cloud, who was already kicking his ass, will continue to kick his ass. Really, just a no-win situation, what's a God to do? 😂
