coming into this game, i didn't expect to be a codependent, mutually toxic relationship with a clown-

Honestly, I feel bad for the narrator. Clearly the story contains someone with creativity burnout, being manipulated by people, being used, parents lecturing them cruelly by telling them what they were doing was useless & it would never get them anywhere, & so, the narrator learned to be dependent on peoples opinions of them, so concerned on what others thought about them, not being themselves, going outside only to wash away anything that makrs them *them*. Eventually they learned to be passive -aggressive, also choosing to never, ever face their trauma, locking it behind a locked door, but bitterly reminded of I when someone tries to leave them, only to quickly replace with another, becoming dependent of each person, their reason of living, their reason of thinking, of breath solely based on that person. In the end, maybe the player is the bad person in a sense? Leaving the narrator over & over & over again, taunting them, teasing them. Leaving them, watching the narrator suffer & beg for them to stay. The player forcefully revealing traumatic event, forcefully making the narrator remember their tragic events, & yeah, the name is toxic as well. Basically, a toxic, codependent relationship represented in a game with humor.

Prior to this game I was not aware that Geo the clown existed. I now know that Geo the clown existed.

"Now we can open a clown burger place!" Yeah! It can be a food truck and everyone will wear clown makeup! There'll be this other food truck that's a zombie theme and they'll be rivals. There'll be crazy hijinks caused by the wacky owners. It'll also have some pretty catchy songs for the unique outros.

Of note, the music in the child's room is "Send in the Clowns" from "A Little Night Music" which is actually a very bittersweet song about lost opportunity. If you want to seek it out, I suggest looking up the version sung by Dame Judi Dench. Seriously. Having this background knowledge actually made that particular scene especially heart wrenching for me

It's likely caused by the pixels but the way the character is always moving slightly out of sync from the environment gives it a really uneasy feeling

I interpret this as the loss of creativity and childhood, paired with some silly nonsensical endings that are just here for the sake of fun. Pretty interesting game, I was continuously surprised by just how weird it got as it went on while still feeling like it had purpose to it.

The clown feels more like an idea or the creative process/creativity itself than the 'player', per se. These are all the ways an idea can die, reach a conclusion, can remain in development forever, can be sacrificed for the sake of others, or can end up veering way too close to things you don't want to touch. Hence there are some that are ghosts, some that go bad, some that become banal, some that go out and age like normal, some that get bogged down in busy-work, and so on. Some ideas get seen, some die without ever being finished.

The toy ending made me sad. I have a plush cat that I got when I was 1. My cousin made me a resolution when I was 16, ditch the cat (called meow) or never see them again. I'm now 21 and I don't know how there doing all I know is me and my bf are happy with our shred child meow 💜

I expected this to be a horror game. I got so immersed in this, though, and it was honestly a really good game. I kind of felt like I actually interacted with the narrator, even though it was just you playing the game. The person(s) who made this game are amazing, and I believe they are amazing at giving a message and telling a story.

Did anyone else notice that every time the player gets an ending the message wile getting the ending always starts with, "I guess". I think this symbolizes that the narrator has lost all care in his work of development.

_A game about a little of everything_ Life choices, free will, relationships, creativity. Finding out who you want to be, then finding out who you are. The game surprised me in a good way. I enjoyed watching MBH guide the sad & oddly huggable creepy little clown. I liked the dancing. And I agree - the best ending was self-acceptance. It always is.

The bed ending hits hard for me. Sometimes you're just so tired of everything, tired of work, tired of responsibility, tired of being afraid that I'm a disapointment or that I'll never achive anything meaningfull, sometimes I just wanna lie in bed blissfully ignorant of all the stuff I have to get done and all the deadlines I have to complete. :/

The mantlepiece seems to be made in the "empty soul" period of interior decorating. Funny little game; it paints a smile on one's face, even as one juggles the possibilities of death.

That part with the clowns and the Boulder is very much about the state of artists getting “paid” with exposure, working themselves to death for someone and then getting replaced immediately.

It speaks well on the life of an artist and mental illness, and I feel it relates rather heavily with their cat ghost series. There was an expectation for more and more and the comments were mixed with praise, annoyance, and the want for more and more. I think it's a call to their struggle making indie content that is memorable and wanted. Truly amazing work as always and I hope that they get more love and support so they can continue what they love doing without having to kill themself over and over to give people what they want.

Naming the character Geode is so blatant, yet so perfect for what this is- especially considering the bathtub ending. I actually laughed at that one.
