Suddenly had an extra hour on my hands, as my friend had to work late and asked if I minded waiting a bit longer. The answer was obvious. The Kingston Subdivision didn't disappoint - I caught four more VIA trains and these two freights. CN Z100 is CN's flagship train - the first train number in a long, long list of over 1500 separate train runs across Canada and the United States. It's an intermodal train that runs from Winnipeg's Symington Yard to Taschereau in Montreal. CN M305 is the westbound counterpart of CN M306, which made an appearance in the previous video, racing CPKC 2-112. M305 runs from Moncton, New Brunswick all the way to Toronto's MacMillan Yard.
Each train passed us by with a horn salute from the friendly crews. It was a nice way to end this day of trains.
