CNC carving a guitar neck using rotary jig mount 

I got this idea from a RU-vid video I saw of a CNC machine carving a large wooden propeller. In that case the rotation was continuous. Here I tried continuous rotation, but it didn't buy me any speed, and it was more complicated, so I just went with the back and forth motion. I don't know where you can buy one of these machines. I made this one myself. I was able to make the mechanical parts with just a drill press, a band saw, and an old Craftsman 109 metal lathe. The gearing is part of the motor, and there is a W.M.Berg worm gearbox as well. The blade is an 8" custom blade with bullnosed 3/8" teeth.

Absolutely love this idea , I use the tried and tested 3 axis bed and spindle but this has totally fascinated Great idea
