My family went to Huntsville once to see what it was like and as soon as I saw the "Vomit Comet" I immediately changed my mind about attending space camp. Little did I know 2 years later I would be dying to go
I toured this campus before in 6th grade, but I did not actually get to do these awesome activities. Can anyone tell me how much camp costs, what is the age limit, etc? I recently decided I wanted a profession in the space category.
I did this, and i was doing the part of the mission the kids were doing at 1:47, but I had to sit in a zero gravity simulating chair, and wear a space suit
Why do they name these spaceships after the Myths, I mean, I get it's easier to remember the names then, but hardly anyone knows about the myths to know what it means.
+Brian Briu That kid has studied! Project ROVER and NERVA did a lot on nuclear propulsion in the 60s. The biggest test was a 4GW nuclear reactor with liquid hydrogen as coolant and reaction mass. The liquid hydrogen flowed trough the reactor heating it up and exited the reactor at upwards 2500K giving it an Isp of about 900 seconds, which is about twice as efficient as the space shuttle main engines, but the reactor weighs more and it´s a reactor... could be a slight PR-issue...
I clicked on this video link to say that I find CNN's title-baiting pathetically old-fashioned. This isn't Twitter; squeeze a little honesty into your Communications department here and there.
