Co-Washing | Response To BeardTube and Dan C Bearded

What it says on the bottle isn't my focus. Whether you should use it or not is. I don't trip off the marketing. Does it work for you? Yes. Cool, continue to use it. Does it work for you? No. Stop using it. This is why I said that both Scuba and Dan are correct in their findings. Both made valid points on why you should or should not co-wash. #KnowYourBeard (Bdacht voice) 😀.

My apologies. I hit before I wanted to because I was in a rush. You too are absolutely correct in your findings, especially on the money side. I'm the same boat. It makes no se sense to spend money on products when you don't need to. I'm glad you got it figured out.

The good thing is that damn near everything out there is good. I know because I've used A LOT of different products. I never had an issue with any of it. These companies are doing a damn good job at producing quality stuff. Also, I kind of don't involve myself in what the "community" is doing. Someone is going to find a way to tear it down. I just do me. I've had a chance to interact with some cool people, but I didn't really get involved too heavily with any of the antics.

It's basically a way to wash your hair/beard in a more gentle way. The cleansing powers are not as strong as shampoo. Depending on who you ask, it's not recommended to wash your hair/beard every day. Washing with a conditioner only, AKA co-washing, you should be able to wash your hair/beard every day without any issues like drying out your hair/beard. Dryness can lead to damage. Damage creates unhealthy hair. I hope my explanation helps.

Hahha. I did that because I TRIED not to name drop in the video but ended up doing it anyway. It wasn't intentional, BUT it happened. The cat was out of the bad, so their names went in the title of the video 🤦🏾‍♂️. If I remember correctly, I had a conversation with both Scuba and Dan, so they were aware of my video.

All valid points. Lifestyle definitely dictates how you should take care of your beard. I'm cool with just rinsing the day off with water 6 days and washing one day. If I worked in an environment like yours, I would probably have to make some changes.

I did not. One even cut. My chin will eventually pass everything else or seem to have passed because my chin hair is finer than the rest of my beard. Check out some of my other videos, and you'll see what I mean.

@nelsongn9 thank you! Cool! I'm glad that I was able to introduce you to something. I always like to mention the natural hair world. The ladies give the beards inspiration, but I don't think the beards know that! The term co-wash came from a woman, based on what I have read.

I've never heard of conditioner before washing and condition again afterward. I think washing your face twice does apply to for bearded men. Depending on who you ask or what you read, washing with water will suffice. The message that I am trying to convey is that there is SO much subjectivity with EVERYTHING! You cannot put everyone in the same box. What works for you may or may not work for me. If it consistently works for you, do it. If not, do not do it. Does that make sense? If not. Do me a favor and look up Beard Samson. I can provide a link if you have a hard time finding him.
