The COBB Air/Oil Separator is placed within your Ford RS's crankcase ventilation system and helps to prevent oil vapors from being introduced into the intake system. The COBB Air/Oil Separator is of our own design and has been in the works for years, making tweaks and updates to ensure that it is a seamless installation, clears any third-party emissions, an is the perfect upgrade to your engine.

A much needed product for our platform, I wonder how this would work with my Radium plate?

While they may physically fit together, most applications don't need both a separator and a catch can setup. The plate in our kit has very similar baffling to the Radium piece.

How does this compare to the UPR dual valve catch can though? This does seem interesting because it's almost like a radium breather plate plus a catch can in the same bundle. What Im wondering is what would be better for my modded setup with big turbo mustang?

Typically a catch-can has to be monitored and drained at a certain cadence, depending on your engine. Our separator has a drain that feeds oil back into the crank case.

Ok, so what you're saying is the oil goes back into the crankcase and the engine where it can be reused properly instead of into the intake manifold when it can cover the valves?

Does the AOS work with aftermarket baffle PCV plates? I have a mountune unit or do I need to go back to OEM plate?

We have not tested compatibility with other plates as our kit includes a plate. - Marshall@COBB

How difficult would it be to install yourself, or how much would it cost to get the dealership to do it?

We put a 4-wrench difficulty level on it. Can certainly be done by someone mechanically inclined and used to working on their car and the tools required are relatively basic. Take a look at the installation instructions (link below) and you should be able to decide if you can tackle it yourself. cobbtuning.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PRS/pages/2979954727/Focus+ST+Air+Oil+Separator

Not currently in the works, but there does seem to be quite a bit of demand for it!
